Insisting that a solution to Ayodhya issue is not possible through negotiations, VHP on Friday said it would have to undertake a
"mass" agitation on the pattern of Amarnath land yatra movement last year to achieve its goal of building Ram Temple.
"I believe that construction of Ram temple at Ram Janambhoomi is not possible by any negotiation. I believe that Hindu Saint fraternity and Hindu organisations will have to launch a mass movement in days to come," VHP president Ashok Singhal told reporters here.
"I believe that the kind of movement undertaken in Jammu for reclaiming Amarnath land, our saints will have to create the same situation in days to come and a Ram temple will be constructed," he added.
Singhal noted that BJP has talked about construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya in its election manifesto. He described BJP as the "only party" which could safeguard "interests of Hindu polity" and expressed his organisation's support to it.
He charged Congress with being bent upon "dividing and weakening" the Hindu society.
