Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi on Monday sought an apology from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for use of the term 'saffron terrorism' by the home minister.
"The post of the Prime Minister has been devalued and he has become helpless as someone else is in control of the administration," Modi said at a public function here.
Criticising home minister P Chidambaram for using the term 'saffron terrorism', Modi said, "it is the height of misfortune that the Union minister has demeaned the chair which was once held by the Iron man of India, Sardar Patel."
"Is not there a saffron flag on a temple? Would you call it a centre of terrorist activity? Swami Vivekanand, Dayanand Saraswati, Shankracharya, Swami Ramdas and others who have sacrificed for the country wore saffron clothes. Are you calling them terrorist?" Modi asked.
"Every Congressmen will have to answer this. And the Prime Minister has to apologies to the people of the country for this," the chief minister added.

Attacking the Congress on the alleged misuse of CBI against him, Modi said one cannot make place in people's heart through CBI.
Modi also dared the Congress-led UPA government to compete with Gujarat on the development front.
"The Union government had the country, entire administration and crores of rupees at its disposal. I dare the Union government that despite of all this, Gujarat will be far ahead if there was a competition," he said.
He said those bent on demeaning Gujarat will be taught lesson by the people themselves.

How to Combat Islam: Islamic Trinity
Ali Sina
Dear Ali
I spoke with my state representative today and asked him to sponsor a bill to ban Sharia in KY. He is very open to that but wants support. What other states have banned Sharia or are contemplating that and where can I direct him for good data?
Thanks,
Rodney (name protected by Ali Sina).
Dear Rodney,
First, kudus to you for your patriotism and for realizing that Islam is a threat to America and to the world!
Banning a religion goes against the First Amendment. As long as Islam is classified as a religion, it cannot be banned.
Islam is also a religion, but unlike other religions it is multi dimensional. All other religions have one dimension or at least one main dimension. It is the vertical line that unites man with God.
Islam has a width and a depth that are absent in other religions. They are its social and political dimensions.
The social and political dimensions of Islam are defined by the Sharia law. Its social dimension regulates every aspect of human relations, e.g. the relationship between husband and wife. Under the Islamic social law, a husband has the right to beat his wife if he fears she is being uppity. He can divorce her at will and in absentia. To him belong the children. He can marry as many women as he pleased. The four wives limitation is a misunderstanding of the Quranic verse, or perhaps a well intentioned effort of Muslims to put a limit to the number of wives.
The Shaira law does not apply only to Muslims, but also it regulates the rights of the non-Muslims. The non-Muslims in Muslim majority countries must be reduced into dhimmis, subdued and humiliated and they should pay a penalty tax to the Muslim state, as high as 50% of their income.
Under the Sharia, women’s rights are half of the rights of men. They are deemed to be deficient in intelligence and their testimony in court is worth half of that of men.
Under the Sharia, homosexuals must be killed; adulterers must be stoned to death, even if they are victims of rape. If a raped woman can’t bring four males witnesses to testifying that they saw the rape happening, her testimony against her assailant is not admissible in the court. However, if she gets pregnant as the result of the rape, her pregnancy can be used as evidence that she has had sex out of wedlock and according to the Sharia she should be stoned.
The political dimension of Islam is its most important dimension. Without it Islam ceases to exist. The foremost objective of Islam is not religious, but political. The goal is to “reclaim” the earth and on it establish Allah’s domain. The means to do that, according to the teachings of the Quran and the examples set by Muhammad, are through raid and terror. The objective of Islam is not to convert everyone, but to make the Sharia law dominant. Even Islamic countries that are not Sharia compliant are legitimate targets of islamic terrorism.
Under the Sharia, people of Book can still keep their faiths and practice their religion, as long as it is done privately and they don’t make a show of it. They are of course not allowed to preach their faith to others, except to their own children.
A Muslim is not just a believer, but also a member of the umma and a subject of the universal Islamic state. Consequently, leaving Islam is regarded as betrayal to the state and a high treason. Apostates should therefore be put to death.
Under these three dimensions noting is left to the individual. Every aspect of the life of a believer is regulated by the Sharia law. The Sharia determines what he should eat and drink and what he should not. When is he allowed to eat and when he is not. What should he wear and what he should not. How should he shave, bathe, brush his teeth, clean his private parts after answering the call of nature, with what foot to enter the toilet, what to say upon entering the toilet and on which fool to put most of his weight while defecating.
As Muslims will tell you, Islam is not a religion. It is a way of life. It is a totalitarian system that dominates every aspect of one’s life. Even the believers’ thoughts are not theirs. The control is absolute.
These three dimensions are indivisible. They are the trinity of Islam. Islam cannot exist without either one of them.
This knowledge is important. The Chinese sage Sun Zi said, know your enemy and you will not be defeated. And here is the problem. Muslims know us and they use our system to penetrate into our countries and to defeat us from within. NABIC, CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, and a host of other Islamic organizations are not the only fronts of Islam. Many politicians, many academicians and I dare to say, many rabbis and priests receive favors from Muslims and viciously fight for their interests. They are not just useful idiots, but well paid traitors.
Muslims have been planning and working relentlessly for decades to penetrate America and to destroy it from within. Today they have their man in the White House. The American Commander in Chief is a traitor in Chief. Obama came to power with the support of Islamists and his job is to open the gates of America to the enemy.
As you see Muslims know us. They know our laws and they know how to use them against us. That is why they are advancing. The Westerns on the other hand don’t know Islam and as the result they are losing the battle. To win this war they need to know their enemy.
If Americans understand the “trinity” of Islam, i.e. its religious, social and political dimensions as indivisible facets of one single entity, it will be easy to defeat it.
We cannot ban Islam as a religion, but we can ban it as a political system. As a political system Islam is incongruent with our democracy and our laws.
While Muslims use the First Amendment to advance their own propaganda, they riot and kill innocent people if someone draws a cartoon of Muhammad. They want to kill him if he speaks against Islam. So they are in violation of the First Amendment. Islam does not recognize the equality of all men before the law. And it does not recognize the equal rights of men and women. On these grounds Islam is in violation of our laws and as such it can be denounced and banned.
Muslims should be asked to repudiate the parts of the Sharia and the Quran that are explicitly in violation to American constitution and Bill of Rights.
Billy Rojas, from Portland OR, has launched a brilliant initiative. He has written a declaration and is inviting Muslims to:
1. Repudiate any verses or interpretations of the Qur’an that oppose the American values
2. Sign the Freedom Pledge promising Muslims who seek to change their religion the same rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution
3. Demand that Muslim nations to grant other religions the same freedom to build houses of worship that American grants them
4. Postpone, relocate, or reconfigure their plans for an Islamic center within a mile of Ground Zero
These are legitimate demands. You can’t be loyal to America if you don’t agree with these principles. Nonetheless, Muslims will find it difficult to sign this declaration. That is because their allegiance is to Islam and not to America.
This is how they will be exposed as the enemies of America and can be expelled under our laws. Those Muslims, who are willing to repudiate the inhumane laws of Islam and join the rest of humanity as brothers and sisters, will be received as such. We have no enmity with Muslims as fellow humans. But at the same time we must not tolerate their evil belief that calls for our subjugation and death.
I urge all Americans to sign the Ground Zero Declaration. If millions of Americans sign this declaration, those patriotic servants of the people serving in the congress and senate will have plenty of ammunition to champion this initiative and put an end to Islam in America for good.
This is by far the most effective way to combat Islam and ban it legally. This strategy is so powerful that no Islamic organization and no Islamic nation can oppose it. Anyone who does so is demonstrating his enmity to human rights to women right and to the cherished values of civilized world.
Islam advances through deceptions. This is how to expose those deceptions.
This declaration is by far the most powerful weapon we have in our fight against Islam. Please go here, read it and sign it, if you are an American.

Those of us who are not Americans should create our own declaration.
Kashmir's 'Azadi' with the tricolour
Tarun Vijay
Sushma Swaraj stunned the students from the valley on August 18 with the question "tell me what idea of the so-called 'azadi' you have and I shall speak after that". The students decided to have one among them to define what they thought about the concept of freedom they were seeking for Kashmir. Sarmad said: "We want to include Gilgit, Baltistan, Jammu and Ladakh in 'Azad Kashmir' and will have friendly relations with Pakistan and India." Some others tried to interject with more ideas. There was no clear voice that could describe what they mean by "azadi" when they chant it.
Now the leader of the opposition explained in a motherly way that they were all like her children. She said: "So, son, first decide what you want. Some want to remain independent, some want Gilgit and Baltistan, some want to go with Pakistan. No one is clear. You already have Jammu and Ladakh; enjoy an autonomy which is not available to any other Indian state. Gilgit and Baltistan you can't have without getting into a scuffle and that may lead to a war. The best 'azadi' that all of you enjoy is with the tricolour. The Indian Constitution provides everything that a citizen can aspire for. It has space for all the shades and opinions within its framework. Look at the educational and technological advances other Indian states are making and see the number of Kashmiri youths coming out of the valley to take advantage of it — in Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi. That's the freedom of development and reaching the sky for lifetime achivements." She brillinatly punctured the 'azadi' fumblings and made Manjoor Yusuf, a braveheart student from Srinagar, to come to the dais and declare: "It's wrong to say that all Kashmiri Muslims want 'azadi'. We want our future with India. It's a great country and in the last election 61% of the citizens of Kashmir cast their votes. India, not Pakistan, is our destiny." The atmosphere changed in a second. A small section of "azadi" seekers couldn't say anything except jeering at the Indian voice from Kashmir. He later complained that some of the students threatened him, "but I am not scared, sir". He was firm.
Smriti Irani, actor (Tulsi) and national president of the BJP's women's wing, charmingly disarmed the separatism advocates. "Azadi — What for and how? By making innocent kids and young people leave their homes and pelt stones on soldiers who are guarding the nation under their constitutional duty? Why should you not be concentrating on making the education system better and responsive? All the separatist leaders including Gilani and Andrabi send their children to various Indian cities and abroad to get the best education and settle down as progressive persons, but make the valley youth cannon fodder for their nefarious games, played and funded by Pakistan. Why don't you see the game?"
The Kashmiri Hindu students, like Radhika Kaul (just about to leave for Yale University) asked why none from Jammu or Ladakh supported what they said and wanted to be distanced from all their claims. "Why none of you ever, even in passing, refer to the pains and aspirations of these two areas which you think form an essential part of your so called 'Azad Kashmir'?"
"Your 'Azad Kashmir' remains a small, marginalized cry of a section of stone pelters in the valley alone," said Aditya Kaul. Utpal Kaul — born, brought up and educated in Srinagar — reminisced about his student days, about his Muslim teachers and the tradition of "Dal Cross" and "Wooler Cross" by girl students too who had pretty good hockey and tennis teams. "Where has all that vanished? Why do you want to be just confined to a small area of the valley? Give leadership to the Indian Muslims. Where is the space of Indian Muslims on your radar?" Prof Fouzia too became emotional and said: "We always had the tradition of mosques and temples existing side by side." To this, Aditya wanted to know, where have all the temples gone now? Thousands of them have been demolished and graffiti in foul language written against Hindus on their half-burnt walls. Why none of them ever protested against such happenings?
Editors' interaction with the students hinged on how political aspirations are taking a turn in the valley. Chandan Mitra of the Pioneer, Rajesh Kalra of the Times Group and Shoma Chaudhry from Tehelka tried to understand and put forth their viewpoints about Kashmir's problems and their solutions. Shoma spoke about the new wave of political demands in the valley and termed stone pelting too as an expression of anger. Chandan predictably took the nationalist line and tried to explain how the Indian democracy is the best framework. "Be part of a larger Indian milieu and everything can be sorted out," he emphasized. Large sections of Muslim students, apart from those who came from Islamic University nodded in affirmation. Rajesh Kalra asked students about their academic pursuits and their dreams. He said that unless they joined the mainstream of a struggle within the Indian framework how could they think they could excel in their lives.
The thrilling part was the arrival of the seven young turk membes of Parliament belonging to various political parties.
Harsimrat Kaur Badal was at her eloquent best. She narrated emotionally the trauma Punjab had gone through during the Khalistan movement. How every Sikh was a suspect, how young Sikhs were killed as suspects by the security forces and the massacre of 1984. "But gradually we all felt separatism was not an answer, it gave nothing but blankness, a black hole. Today Punjab youths are in the grip of drugs and all sorts of negative traits, a direct fallout of the insurgency. Punjab lost its vibrant, dynamic youth in a movement that was self-defeating." "And listen," she turned a tigress, "I am not from the Congress or the BJP, but I am an Indian and as an Indian I must clearly tell you that till the last Indian is alive, no one will ever allow Kashmir to secede from us. It's an integral part of us, of India." The conference room rose to hail her with roaring claps. The voices of "azadi'' had no answer. Neeraj Shekhar asked: "How many of you have voted in the last elections?" Islamic University students said in unison: "No one." "Why?" asked Neeraj. They said: "Because the elections are always rigged, so we have no faith in them." This was contested again by Manzoor Yusuf, who said 61% of Kashmiris voted in the elections. "That means you do not represent the majority." Aditya pointed out: "A known separatist leader, Bilal Lone, contested the election and lost his deposit. It means the majority of Kashmiris do not like separatists."
Priya Dutt said in her inimitable style: "Why on earth you declare first that you are not an Indian and then ask for more? How can one come on a dialogue table with a baggage of preconceived notions and then begin with riders? We are with you, we understand your pains and sorrows, we share your grief and demands for justice, but that can be met only under an Indian constitutional framework. And no one, no party or ideology or shade of belief, can ever give you 'azadi'. Take it today as firmly as possible."
Anurag Thakur, the young turk from Himachal who is also the president of Himachal Cricket Association and national president of the BJP's youth wing, spoke from the heart: "We are with you on every issue that creates pain or anguish, but as Indians. Nothing can ever be discussed beyond the parameters of our Indianness. We are talking to you not because you are different but because you have always been a part of us, an inalienable story of a larger Indian epic." Madhu Yashki narrated his own story from Andhra Pradesh, where he too was witness to the demand of a Telangana state. "It never pays to be an extremist, trust me. Our destinies and dreams are best protected under the umbrella of our Indianness."
Jayant Chaudhary was candid. "You want peace, right?" And everyone nodded. So friends, peace as I read somewhere, is like lovemaking. You have to keep your eyes shut and let the process take its course. Coming on a dialogue table with preconditions spoils the game. Then he said: "Tell me why some of you want ‘azadi’." The students, voicing separatist threads, fumbled, "Pandit Nehru had promised a plebiscite." "But that was to be held without any demographic changes. The valley has gone tremendous change in its population contours, with Hindus ousted and people from across the border rehabilitated post-1947," retorted Radhika Kaul.
None could explain why they want "azadi"; none could reply why Ladakh and Jammu remained absent from their worldview. Students who wanted "separation" were not keen to listen to the voices of Indianness from their own Muslim brothers and sisters from Srinagar. They said that even the 2002 and 2008 elections — universally hailed as free and fair, including by UN observers — were rigged.
"We have a lost generation in the valley, fed from their early childhood that they are different, hence they have, a separate flag, a separate constitutional provision and they do not belong to India as Bihar and Assam do. Some of the students claimed Kashmiris were a different race and a different "kaum" unlike Indians. I said: "Read at least Sheikh Abdullah’s biography, 'Atishe Chinar', in which he traces his roots, two generations back, to Kaul Hindus. There are Rainas, Kauls and Bhatts this side, exiled from their homes, and Rainas, Kauls and Bhatts on the other side. Why the divide just because one has a different way of worship?"
Ram Madhav, national executive member of the RSS, shared his views and took difficult questions with aplomb, asserting the age-old unity of Jammu & Kashmir with India. "We can never think to have Kashmir separated from India at any cost," he asserted. "We would like every person in J&K to prosper and have a government of his choice within the framework of the Indian Constitution."
This dialogue could happen because Prof Siddiq Wahid and Prof Fouzia Kazi were among the believers in resolving issues through talks. I wish I were a student of Dr Fouzia, who was so articulate and spoke with great maturity and élan. The same goes for Prof Wahid. The students were brilliant, and put forth their views assertively and decently. The dialogue has convinced us that there are people in the valley who believe in sharing the views rather than stone pelting and killing. No bullet can ever find a solution to a complex problem and building bridges in spite of all hurdles and challenges remains the course of a civil society. That has to be supported from both sides, though. The vice chancellor, Prof Wahid, invited us to continue the dialogue in Srinagar, in his Islamic University of Science and Technology. We have accepted the invitation. Friends are made. Sinead Kachroo of Aman Satya Kachroo Trust shared the feelings of Kashmiri students by offering to wear a black band to mourn the deaths of innocent people in the valley; it deeply touched the hearts of everybody.
Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee gave his life in Srinagar for the complete integration of Kashmir with the rest of India. That a thinktank named after him would carry forward the dialogue in Srinagar and in Delhi with those who have a different opinion is a landmark event. That was what Bal Apte, the President of the organization, said, asserting the ancient threads of unity that bind Jammu & Kashmir inseparably with Bharat Vasrha. "We never imagined an India without Kashmir and will never do so." Kashmir se Kanya Kumari tak Bharat ek hai.
Reaching out and continuing talks can only be a better way out.

Ali Sina on Ground Zero Mosque, Cordova House
Faith Freedom
On 9/11 2001, Muslim jihadists butchered 3000 Americans. Nine years later, a Muslim Imam wants to build a 13 story monument two blocks away from the site of that carnage.
Many Americans, particularly the New Yorkers and the families of the victims of that tragedy are outraged at the insensitivity, bordering arrogance of Faisal Abdul Rauf, the imam behind this project. Rauf says it is not a mosque but an Islamic center. The name does not change anything. Whatever you call it, it is of extreme poor judgment.
In 2004, Rauf published a book calling it “What is Right with Islam is What is Right with America.” In that book he argued “The American political structure is Sharia compliant. For America to score even higher on the ‘Islamic’ or ‘Sharia compliance’ scale America would need to do two things. Invite the voices of all religions in shaping the nations’ practical life, and allow religious communities more leeway to judge among themselves according to their own laws.”
The truth is that the American constitution and the Sharia law are opposite of each other. It is interesting however, how Rauf composed his statement. He did not say that the Sharia is in compliance with the US constitution, but the other way round. By doing so he wanted to establish the superiority of the Sharia over the US constitution.
The fact is that the American Constitution and the Sharia differ fundamentally. For example, the Sharia does not recognize
* Freedom of speech,
* Freedom of conscience
* Equality of all people before the law
* Equality of the rights of women with men
Of course, as an Imam he can’t reject the Sharia. He will reject the constitution when not in compliance with the Sharia.
There is nothing in the constitution of the USA that is in agreement with the Sharia law. You cannot find two documents more diametrically opposed to each other.
Think about stoning the adulterers, killing the apostates, hanging or beheading the homosexuals, chopping the hands of the thief, imposing a dress code on people and flogging them for consuming alcohol. These are all part of the Sharia law and against the Constitution. You can’t serve two masters. Muslims will have to either submit to the Sharia law or to the US constitution. If they submit to one, they are in violation of the other.
But the disturbing part in Rauf’s statement is the fact that he compares Islamic laws with the secular laws of America. This is proof that his goal is to supplant the latter with the former. Statements such as this make it clear that the ambition of Muslims in America is political.
Rauf ignores the fact the in the USA religion and state are kept apart. When he says “America would need invite the voices of all religions in shaping the nations’ practical life, and allow religious communities more leeway to judge among themselves according to their own laws,” he is not talking about Jews, Christians or other religions. In fact adherents of these faiths want to keep state and religion separate. Rauf wants these rights solely for Muslims. He aspires to convert America into an Islamic theocracy.
The Sharia law does not just regulate the rights of the Muslims but also the non-Muslims must submit to it. How is that going to work according to this imam? Well that part will have to wait until Muslims become the majority and convert America into a Sharia compliant state, like Saudi Arabia. Then no one has any right anymore.
As far as Muslims are concerned the Sharia law is from God and it supersedes all constitutions that are written by men.
The implication is grave. It means that Muslims who uphold the Sharia law are a subversive group whose aim is to destroy our system of government. Muslims present Islam as a religion whereas their agenda is political and subversive.
When in 2007, Rauf published his book in the Muslims world, he did not call it What is Right with America is What is Right with Islam. He called it A Call to Prayer from the WTC rubbles: Islamic Da’wa from the Heart of America Post 9/11.
This is the kind of talk that resonates in Muslim world. The message that Rauf wants to send to Americans is that the Sharia is very similar to their constitution and hence they should not fear Islam. But his message to his fellow coreligionists is different. To them he is announcing that a da’wa is being issued to Americans from the rubbles of 9/11.
What is Da’wa? Da’wa means invitations to submit to Islam. Jihad has two phases. The first phase is the invitation. Disbelievers are to be warned first and given a chance to submit. If they refuse the next stage is qital (fighting). Da’wa and qital are integral parts of jihad.
The Cordova House will be the ultimatum, a line drawn in the sand for the Americans. After the da’wa is issued, Americans will have two choices: They must either submit to Islam or face more terrorism.
What is in the name?
The choice of the name is also significant. Cordova House may mean nothing to Americans, but for Muslims it is fraught with meaning.
Cordova is a city in south Spain. Muslims armies invaded Spain in 711, massacring countless people. Then they converted the biggest church in Cordova into a mosque.
Building mosques over churches, synagogues and temples of the conquered people began during the life of Muhammad who converted the temple of the Arabs in Mecca into an Islamic mosque.
Muslims have been doing the same ever since. Numerous Hindu temples, churches, synagogues and Zoroastrian temples were converted into mosques. The objective is twofold” To humiliate the defeated people and to establish the supremacy of Islam.
The mosque over the temple of Solomon in Jerusalem is one example. When Muslims conquered the Byzantine Empire they converted the biggest church in the Christian empire into a mosque. In India over 2000 mosques are built on Hindu temples.
A mosque, a place from which da’wa is issued, built over the rubbles of the WTC is a hint to Muslims that jihad is on the march and that Islam is advancing and conquering new territories. The conquest of Cordova ushered Muslims into an era of opulence, the so called Golden Age of Islam. It is therefore a symbol of Islamic conquest and supremacy, which Muslims recall nostalgically.
Who is Faisal Abdul Rauf?
Imam Rauf tries to present himself as a moderate Muslim. Far from it! He has made statements that show he has very radical views. Right after 9/11 Rauf blamed the victims and said, “United States policies were an accessory to the crime that happened on 9/11.”
He also said “We [Americans] have been an accessory to a lot of innocent lives dying in the world. In fact, in the most direct sense, Osama bin Laded was made in the USA.”
Rauf supports Muslim Brotherhood, the same group that wants to destroy America from within, and has nerve condemned Hezbollah or Hamas terrorist organizations.
In October 2009, the Former Muslims United sent Rauf and his wife the Pledge of Freedom that states Muslims should not be killed if they choose to leave Islam. The couple refused to sign it. So much for their tolerance! Also he has never made it public where the $100 million dollars financing comes from.
There are 2300 mosques in the USA and over 200 in New York. There is no need for another one, especially in the proximity of where Muslims massacred thousands of Americans. Why this place? The choice of the Ground Zero is no accident. Muslims have chosen this spot to a) thumb their nose at Americans and at the families of the victims and b) send a message to Muslim world announcing Islam’s victory over the “Great Satan.”
The Cordova House will have a huge symbolic significance for Muslims and it encourages them to enlist in jihad and make the ultimate objective of Islam, which is world domination come true.
Rauf is not a man of peace. He has made very inflammatory comments, such as “one man’s terrorist is another man’s hero.”
In an article entitled, “Sharing the Essence of Our Beliefs,” published in the Al-Ghad Newspaper in Jordan, 5/9/2009, translated by Walid Shoebat, Rauf wrote:
If someone in the Middle East cries out, “where is the law”, he knows that the law exists. The only law that the Muslim needs exists already in the Koran and the Hadith.
People asked me right after the 9/11 attack as to why do movements with political agendas carry [Islamic] religious names? Why call it ‘Muslim Brotherhood’ or ‘Hezbollah (Party of Allah)’ or ‘Hamas’ or ‘Islamic Resistance Movement’? I answer them this—that the trend towards Islamic law and justice begins in religious movements, because secularism has failed to deliver what the Muslim wants, which is life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
Rauf is not talking about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all the people. According to Islam these rights belong only to Muslims. The non-Muslims must suffer defeat, ignominy and dhimmitude.
Follow the Money Trail
Why would Mayor Bloomberg and the majority of the council members of the New York City support such an offensive project? The answer is, follow the money trail.
I am not accusing anyone, but my hunch tells me to be suspicious of anyone who strongly defends Islamic interests over the interests of his own country.
The Saudi and the Iranian regimes spend large sums of money buying the loyalty of politicians and the academicians in the west. The western supporters of Islam are not often mere useful idiots. In many cases they are well paid traitors.
An example that comes to mind is the US congressman Mark D. Siljander who began his career as a zealous evangelical Christian and then went on to write a book, A Deadly Misunderstanding, to “bridge the Muslim-Christian divide.” He argued that Christian and Muslim religious texts are surprisingly compatible, when studied in their original languages. This is of course a blatant lie. The truth came out on July 7, 2010, when Siljander pleaded guilty to two counts of receiving money from Muslims and supporting Muslim terrorists. He was indicted in January 2008 on charges of money laundering, conspiracy and obstruction of justice.
Throughout the history, Islamic forces have deceived their victims, making them think Islam and Muslims are peace-loving, only later to find the opposite. Another example of this deception/treason happened in A.D. 635 when Damascus fell to Muslims because they deceived and bribed its Bishop who opened the city gates at night.
Anytime a politician defends Islam under the guise of “tolerance” and “community cohesion,” I think about money. Chances are you’ll find a skeleton in their closet. I am not accusing anyone in particular. I don’t know the facts. But I won’t be surprised if one day we find out that the politicians who defend the construction of this Islam Trojan horse on Ground Zero were paid for their support.
Mayor Bloomberg calls patriotic Americans who don’t want this mosque, “un-American.” He should know that it is very American to defend the American constitution against any creeping alien ideology whose adherents do not hide their intention to bring down America and “sabotage its miserable house from within.” What is un-American is to open the gates of the country to its sworn enemies. Whether the Mayor is bribed, or he is merely a useful idiot is not for me to decide. It is one or the other and in either case he is not qualfied to be the mayor of New York. But one thing is certain and that is his support for Islamists against the interests of America is very un-American.
Taliban stones couple to death in northern Afghanistan
The Hindu
The Taliban has stoned to the death a couple in northern Afghanistan over charges of adultery, according to a provincial Afghan official.
The Governor of the Kunduz province said on Monday a man and woman were publicly killed over an alleged love affair. "The two were stoned to death in a bazaar of Dasht-e Archi district on the accusation of committing the act of adultery," said Mohammad Omar.
Last week, Islamist militants publicly flogged and killed a woman, accused of adultery, in the Badhgis province in northwestern Afghanistan, said officials.
These killings in Kunduz, if confirmed, would be the first of their kind by the Taliban in northern Afghanistan, where the militant group has comparatively lower influence than in the south. The stoning follows last week's call by a section of clerics for the imposition of a strict code of Islamic law that has frequently awarded capital punishmen
Afghan authorities say the Taliban had arrested the couple following complaints by their parents, as the two were to be married to separate individuals. The Taliban, during their rule of Afghanistan between 1996 and 2001, is known to have imposed draconian punishments on people who did not subscribe to its strict code of social behaviour.
A recent study by the United Nations has held the Taliban responsible for 76 per cent of Afghan civilian deaths, estimated at 1271, which have surged in the first half of 2010.

Autonomy to Kashmir will ruin India: Thackeray
PTIVoicing strong opposition to the proposal of giving autonomy to Jammu and Kashmir, Shiv Sena chiefBal Thackeray today said the move would ruin the country.
"Autonomy to Kashmir? This is the limit! Autonomy status should not be given to the state else the country would be ruined," Thackeray said in the party mouthpiece 'Saamana'.
He criticised Congress for floating the idea and asked them to leave power.
Thackeray was reacting to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's statement that the Centre was willing to consider autonomy for the state within the ambit of the Constitution.
He further said, "the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru's announcement of giving autonomous status to Kashmir and making Sheikh Abdullah its Prime Minister was opposed by the entire country and all the MPs, prompting him to rescind the move."
"Due to the strong opposition by MPs, even the remaining hair on Nehru's bald head started falling and he had to abandon the idea of autonomy to Kashmir," Thackeray said.
"Now Farooq and Omar, scions of Abdullah are also in favour of autonomy status. But it will not happen, otherwise the whole country would stand against," he said.
Thackeray was referring to National Conference President and Union Minister Farooq Abdullah's statement welcoming the autonomy initiative.
Meanwhile, Sena is today celebrating 50th anniversary of the party's weekly magazine 'Marmik' here at Shanmukhanand hall in central Mumbai.

Islamization of Kashmir through Media Manipulation
Hira Fotedar
On August 15, 2008, on India’s Independence Day, Kashmir valley witnessed an unprecedented event as Pakistani flag was hoisted in Lal Chowk in the heart of Srinagar while Indian security forces stood by as moot and passive spectators. Following this, on August 18, 2008, separatists organized a huge rally attended by over 100,000 Kashmiri Muslims denouncing India and demanding Azadi and the imposition of Islamic rule in Kashmir. The demonstration was led by Syed Ali Shah Geelani an ex-government school teacher and Congress supported former Member of J&K Legislative Assembly. He was accompanied by other Kashmiri Muslim leaders such as Mirwaiz Omar a religious leader, former terrorists Shabir Shah, Yasin Malik and invited guests such as leftist writer Arundhati Roy and other fellow travelers for maximum propaganda effect.
According to press reports (Guardian 8/22/08) “there were green flags on every lamp post, every roof, every bus stop, and on the roof of chinar trees. A big one fluttered outside the All India Radio building. Roadsides were painterd over. Rawalpindi they said or simply Pakistan”
Everywhere there were Pakistani flags, everywhere the cry Pakistan se rishta kya? La illah illah (What is our bond with Pakistan? There is no God but Allah.) Azadi ka matlab kya? La illah illah (What does freedom mean? There is no god but Allah). The crowd chanted “crush India”, “When Lashkar comes India will be defeated”, “Kashmir ki Mandi-Rawalpindi”.
Syed Ali Shah Geelani a leader of Pro-Pakistani faction of Hurriyet began his address with a recitation of Qur’an told the crowd that the only way for the struggle to succeed was to turn to Quran for guidance. He said “Pakistan was created for Islam and must continue to safe guard interests of Islam. Likewise in Kashmir nationalism will not work, the American world order will not work, only Islam unites us……….”
In an interview (Rediff.com) with Asha Khosa on August 25, 2008, Mr. Geelani expounded on his plans for Kashmir. He said “I have a three point target, first to impose Islamic Nizam (jurisprudence) in Kashmir. Islam should govern our political thought, socio economic plans, culture and the ongoing movement. The creed of socialism and secularism should not touch our lives and we must totally be governed by Koran and Sunnat (precedents from Prophet Muhammad’s life)”.
Watching this scenario unfold in the Kashmir Valley must give the rulers in Pakistan, the Pakistani Army and ISI great satisfaction. Having failed to annex Kashmir by force in 1947, 1965 and 1971 wars with India, Pakistan was finally achieving Islamization of Kashmir through subversion, intrigue, media manipulation and terrorism.
ISLAMIZING KASHMIR VALLEY
To achieve the goal of Islamization, Pakistan ISI had been working hard for over 30 years to change the centuries old Kashmiri Muslim outlook of secularism and Kashmiriyet to the ideology of fundamentalist Islam. This was done by implanting seeds of subversion and terrorism in two stages:
Stage I began in 1965, with operation “Gibraltar” with heavy infiltration of Pakistani nationals as well as military training of Kashmiri Muslim youth. These youths were recruited by Jamaat-i-Islami a theo –fascist outfit with connections to Rabita-ul-Islam the international headquarters of the Islamic fundamentalist movement based in Saudi Arabia and Pakistani Jamat-i-Islami. This organization developed an elaborate infrastructure for propagating Wahabi style Islamic ideology through mosques, study groups and schools in Kashmiri towns and villages with the connivance of civil adminstartion funded by Indian tax payers. Study circles received money directly from Arab countries through the medium of Muslim Welfare Society, ostensibly for promoting Islamic culture. In mid seventies these Study Circles started operating openly in colleges and universities as well as in Government offices. Moulvis were recruited from UP and Bihar in India to whip up communal and secessionist passions. These Moulvis have played a critical role in subverting the Kashmiri Sufi-Islamic tradition and whip up passions against secular and liberal Kashmiri Hindus and Muslims. To expand its influence among women Shoba-i-Khowateen was launched. It advocates strict observance of Islamic codes for women. Its impact began to be noticed when Kashmiri women who for centuries never accepted veil now were using Arab style Burqa. Many members of this organization formed Dukhtarain-i-Millat with the goal of supporting Islamic terrorists by engaging in intelligence gathering, ferrying arms, keeping under custody the kidnapped victims as well as raking up false stories of human rights abuse and accuse Indian security forces of committing rapes in order to gain international media attention. Stage I produced Kashmiri leaders such as Yasin Malik of JKLF, Syed Ali Shah Geelani of Jamat, Dr. Ayub Thukar of World Kashmiri Movement, Ghulam Nabi Fai of Kashmir American Council as well as Syed Sallahudin of Hizbul Mujahdeen based in Pakistan. These people have been at the forefront of media manipulation to denigrate India and present Islamic movement in Kashmir as a movement for liberation and freedom to hoodwink Indian and foreign Journalists, Academics and Politicians.
Stage II of Pakistani subversion and terrorism began with operation “TOPAC” in late 70’s after the defeat of Pakistan in 1971 war with India. It was designed as part of a proxy war by Pakistan against India to wrest control of Kashmir. Having established a viable fundamentalist Islamic infrastructure through Jamat controlled schools, colleges and with thousands of trained sympathizers in the police and civilian government, Operation TOPAC aimed to bleed India and make it powerless in Kashmir. The goal was to provide Pakistan complete deniability of its involvement as the conflict would appear as an indigenous uprising by Kashmiri Muslims fighting for Azadi against “oppressive Hindu Indians”. Operation TOPAC was conceived by Gen. Zia Ul Huq as an Action Plan for incorporation of Kashmir into Pakistan through Jihad and creating a grass roots movement of freedom from India using Islam as the uniting force.
OPERATION “TOPAC”
Operation TOPAC had four aims:
1. Train Kashmiri youths in handling of sophisticated arms
2. To destabilize and discourage the state administration
3. To make Kashmir valley a Hindu-less Muslim area.
4. To prepare Kashmiri Muslims for Jehad.
This was to be accomplished in two phases:
Phase 1
1. The sentiments of students and farmers be aroused against India and their cooperation will be sought for anti-government demonstrations and riots.
2. Create chaos and spread terror
3. Impart military training to Mujahdeen for fighting Para-military forces and the army
4. Disrupt communication links between the valley, Jammu and Laddakh.
5. Help of Sikh militants be sought for insurgency activities in Jammu region in order to divert the attention of security forces in the valley and make the governments position awkward and disgraceful
6. Take control of the areas where security forces are camped. South Kashmir is suitable for this action.
Phase 2
1. Mount pressure on the Indian Army in Siachin, Kargil, Rajouri and Poonch areas in order to bring down the morale
2. Sudden and vigorous attacks be made on the Army depots and Army convoys at Srinagar, Pattan, Kupwara, Bandipoa and Chowkibal.
3. Afghan Mujahdeen would be infiltrated from Azad Kashmir (Pakistan occupied Kashmir) in order to intensify the freedom struggle of Kashmiri Mujahdeen.
4. Mistake in carrying out “Operation Gibraltar” of 1965 should not be repeated.
5. Special task force under the command of retired Pakistani Army Officers, mainly Afghans will be sent to blast the railway stations, Aerodrome, Jawahar Tunnel, Leh Sonamarg road and Army cantonments etc. After successful operations in the valley, parts of Jammu and Laddakh will also be brought under the full fledged armed insurgency operation.
OPERATION “TOPAC” IN ACTION
The very first evidence of the presence of arms and trained terrorists in the valley came in August 1988 during the riots that occurred in Srinagar after Pakistan President General Zia-ul-Huq’s death in an air crash. The entire town of Srinagar was in turmoil with wide spread looting and arson. Curfew had to be imposed on several areas of inner-city Srinagar strong hold of Jamat-i- Islami. During curfew hours mobs attacked the paramilitary police with semi-automatic weapons, a phenomenon which was unknown before this time.
After a lull of one year violence started again in September 1989 with the murder of prominent Kashmiri Hindus such as a prominent Lawyer Mr. Tika Lal Taploo, Justice Neel Kanth Ganjoo, famous Kashmiri poet Sarwanand Premi along with thousands of Hindu teachers, engineers, doctors and civil servants.
Mosques became the hotbed of terrorist activity during the winter months of 1989-90 for the recruitment of Kashmiri Muslim boys for the cause of Jihad. Video shows describing terrorist tactics and guerilla warfare began running on a 24 hour basis in the mosques and other public places. Pakistan television and radio started creating a sense of hysteria by broadcasting vicious propaganda aimed at arousing the religious feelings among Kashmiri Muslims. Posters started appearing in Srinagar and other towns asking people to observe strict Islamic codes regarding dress, food and entertainment. Video shops and cinema theaters were forced to shut down, drinking of alcohol was banned. Pakistani currency started to appear in circulation and several attempts were made to ban Indian currency. By the end of 1989 Kashmir valley had become a de-facto Pakistani territory with each move of the terrorists legitimized and accepted by the public under duress. Young men wielding guns and pistols began to be accepted as a status symbol in Kashmir and being called a Mujhdeen became a real honor for the Muslim boys and their families.
HINDU EXODUS
On January 4, 1990 Aftab an Urdu daily of Srinagar published a press release from Hizbul Mujahdeen asking Kashmiri Hindus to leave Kashmir or face annihilation. Alsafa another Urdu newspaper repeated these warnings. On January 19, 1990 JKF, Hizbul-Mujahdeen and other terrorist outfits declared the introduction of Nizam-e-Mustafa (Islamic rule) in Kashmir.
On the night of January 19, 1990 all mosques in the valley began to issue threats and warnings to Kashmiri Hindus with loudspeakers broadcasting taped messages, continuously for 24 hours for three consecutive days creating a psychosis of fear and doom.
“Kashmir mein agar rehna hai; Allah-o-Akbar Kehna hai” ( If you want to live in Kashmir you will have to convert and chant Allah-o-Akbar)
“Asi gachchi Pakistan; Batao roas te Batni san” (We want Pakistan with Kashmiri Hindu women but without their men folk)
“Yhan kya chalega; Nizame Mustafa” ( What kind of law will work here Islamic law)
These threats led to the exodus of 350,000 Kashmiri Hindus form the valley ensuring complete Islamization.
MANIPULATION OF MEDIA
1. Misguided Youths, Militants, Jehadis and Islamic Terrorists
The manipulation of Indian media by Kashmiri Muslims began in late sixties after 1965 Indo Pak war with the formation of Jamat-i-Islami affiliated Al-Fatah and Muslim Janbaz Force. These outfits were at the forefront of armed terrorists acts in Kashmir. Their cadres received training in Pakistan and funding from Arab countries, eventually morphing into JKLF (Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front) and present day Hurriyet with the active backing of Pakistan. JKLF and Hurriyet touts itself as a secular even though its core ideology is to impose Islamic rule in Kashmir and banish Kashmiri Hindus. No one in the media ever questioned why its leaders were only Muslims if it was indeed secular. When some of their activists were arrested and convicted for murder, loot and arson the sympathetic J&K Government Officials would release them by referring to them as Misguided Youths. As reported in India Today, April 30, 1990 “Between July and December 1989, 70 hardcore terrorists were released by Farooq Abdullah government. All detentions had been confirmed by the Advisory Body headed by the Chief Justice of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court”. No one in the media took Farooq Abdullah to task for releasing convicted killers and thus encouraging more terrorism.
These misguided youths later became, Militants, Jehadis and now Islamic terrorists
2. Migrants, refugees or internally displaced people
Kashmiri Hindus forced to flee their homes were dubbed as Migrants by Kashmiri Muslim press. No one in Indian media challenged this terminology. Calling them refugees or internally displaced people would call into question the secular façade of Kashmir valley and its Muslim Leadership who were in cahoots with the Congress Government.
3. Militant religious organizations operating under secular garb
In Kashmir valley many organizations espouse to be secular where as their core membership comprises of people with close association with Jamat-i-Islami such as People’s League, People’s Democratic Party, and Hurriyet etc. Outside India, World Kashmir Movement (WKM) in London and Kashmir American Council (KAC) in Washington DC serve as mouthpiece of Islamists and pro Pakistani elements. These organizations have hired western lobbyists to project Islamic terrorists as freedom fighters fighting for liberation of J&K from India. These Lobbyists are paid by Pakistan and Arab countries.
In order to keep India and its security forces on the defensive these organizations employ leftist Indian Journalists, Academics and politicians to espouse and parrot the cause of the secessionist. Kashmir American Council has published pamphlets for distribution to journalists and members of the Congress and Senate in the USA. These pamphlets have sympathetic reports from Ashok Mitra of Daily Telegraph 5/16/1990, Dr. N. Y. Dole of Rashtra Seva Dal, Syed Shahabudin President Insaf party, reports from All India Revolutionary Students Federation Karnatka, Dipankar Bhattacharya, Secretary General, India’s People Front, Minoo Masani of Dalit Voice and retired Justice V. M Tarkunde. In order to discredit Indian security apparatus in Kashmir, Separatists falsely accused Indian Army of rape which was at first accepted at face value and reported as such by the leftist Indian media.
In the last 18 years new generations of anti- Indian Mao- Islamists have been recruited to be the mouthpiece of radical Islamists operating under the secular garb. Some of them are Dr. Angana Chaterjee, Arundhati Roy, AS Aiyar etc. These pamphlets are used to give legitimacy to the point of view espoused by Pakistan funded secessionists outfits.
4. Worldwide Disinformation Campaign through Demonstrations, Symposiums and Tours
Pakistani ISI and Arab countries have organized and funded the formation of various organizations in Kashmir and around the world to coordinate demonstrations, organize symposiums and lectures to promote disinformation regarding human rights abuses by Indian security forces and project humane face of Islamic insurgency fighting for the liberation of Kashmir. Some of these organizations are: Muslim Welfare Society, Falah-I Am Trust, Dukhtarain-e-Millat in Kashmir and Kashmir American Council in Washington D. C, World Kashmir Movement in London, International Institute of Kashmir Studies in London, Jammu and Kashmir Council for Human Rights in London etc. Amir of Jamat-i-Islami Pakistan Qazi Hussein frequently tours Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Sudan, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE in support of Independence of Kashmir and fund raising.
One of the earliest examples of disinformation campaign undertaken by Kashmiri Muslims and their secular allies in India was to deny that any atrocity or ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Hindus had happened. All the blame for the exodus of 350,000 Hindus was laid on Governor Jag Mohan who according to them wanted Hindus out so that he could deal with the Islamic terrorists. Indo American Kashmir Forum has worked hard to debunk this canard through symposiums and workshops.
Another example of disinformation was the massacre of 35 Sikhs in Chittisingpora near Srinagar on 3/20/1990 by armed Islamic terrorists dressed in official Indian Army uniforms. Islamists and its allies in Indian media initially blamed Indian Army for the massacre which was proven not to be the case after detailed investigation by Barry Bearak of New York Times.
5. Task Forces, Petitions and Letter Writing Campaigns.
Faroukh Kathwari a prominent U. S based Kashmiri Muslim businessman has financed Kashmir Study Group composed of University Professors and U. S Diplomats to examine the situation in Kashmir and propose solutions. The Islamist Separatists have taken politicians, journalists and diplomats from various countries to visit Kashmir valley for propaganda purposes to show-case human rights abuses by Indian security forces. The cadres of Jamat-i-Islami along with Dukhtaran-i- Millat are used to spin horror stories with usual drama. Whenever there is a demonstration in the valley KAC, WKM get into action and activate their friends and sympathizers worldwide to write petitions and letters to the United Nations as well as various Government Agencies. Recent case of a petition to U.N by Dr. Angana Chaterjee against Jammu agitation in support of Amarnath Yatra is a good example.
CONCLUSION
Reacting to the demonstrations in Srinagar, a well known liberal Indian Columnists Swaminathan A. Aiyar in Times of India dated 8/17/08 wrote: “We promised Kashmiris a plebiscite six decades ago. Let us hold one now and give them three choices: independence, union with Pakistan and union with India. Almost certainly the Valley will opt for independence. Jammu will opt to stay with India and probably Laddhakh too. Let Kashmiris decide the outcome not the politicians and armies of India and Pakistan.”
On 8/19/08 Arundhati Roy commented to Times of India “India needs Azadi from Kashmir as much as Kashmir needs Azadi from India”
It is surprising that these Indian columnists who claim to be liberal, secularist have no problem to propose the dismemberment of India to appease and satisfy Islamist demands. It seems after sixty years of partition we Indians have learned nothing from Muslim mechanization of deceit through Taki’ya to create Pakistan which resulted in the ethnic cleansing of Hindus from West Punjab, Sindh and East Bengal. If we do not wake up it is only a matter of time that India will be partitioned into hundreds of small Muslim enclaves governed by Qura’nic Sharia laws, virtually no-go zones for Hindus and Indian security forces from where Indian Mujahdeen will be free to engage in murder and arson to terrorize Indians and demand freedom from the “Oppressive Hindus”. Recently Gen. (rtd.) S. K. Sinha, former Governor J&K gave an interview with Kallol Bhattacharjee, The Week 31/08/2008, which sums the challenge we face in Indian media. He said:
“There is an environment of religious intolerance in Kashmir. There was ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Pandits (Hindus) from the state but no one talks about them. Kashmir has been Talibanized by the Separatists. The Secular lobby never condemns the communal politics of Syed Ali Shah Geelani”.

Florida church plans to burn Quran on 9/11 anniversary
AFP
MIAMI: A Florida church said it plans to publicly burn copies of the Quran on the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, prompting threats from Islamic groups and warnings the move will trigger a rise in hate crimes.
The Dove World Outreach Center of Gainesville, Florida said on its Facebook page it will hold an "International Burn a Koran Day" on September 11, asking other religious groups to join in standing "against the evil of Islam. Islam is of the devil!"
"Islam and Sharia law was responsible for 9/11," pastor Terry Jones said. "We will burn Qurans because we think it’s time for Christians, for churches, for politicians to stand up and say no; Islam and Sharia law is not welcome in the US," the organizer of the burning action added.
Reactions to the Koran burning announcement were swift. Members of the Al-Falluja jihadist forum have threatened to "spill rivers of your (American) blood" and "a war the likes of which you have never seen before".
Mainstream Muslim groups also denounced the move and lamented the sentiments promoted by the Gainesville church.

Abdicating India
Tarun Vijay
On Kargil Victory Day (July 26), the UPA government has gifted the Indian forces a bizarre decision: scrapping the purchase of artillery guns, which the Army has been demanding urgently. As a defence report says, artillery guns ran havoc on the enemy during Operation Vijay in the Kargil war. These guns are extremely necessary for mountain conflicts. It is predicted that there is 80% probability that the next war India will fight will be in mountains. Nobody answers why we have not bought any artillery guns for long. Whatever we are left with are in bad condition. This news shows the lacklustre attitude of the UPA regime. For the fifth time in the last eight years such a process has been stalled.
The second major fiasco has happened on the external affairs front.
Even in the worse days of the Gujral doctrine, Indian interests were never abdicated the way this government with a CBI mascot has done. The Indian foreign minister not only swallowed the bitter pill of humiliation on a land hostile to us, yielding to an arrogantly unmannered Qureshi, he committed a diplomatic sin against his own country by criticizing his home secretary, synchronizing his fool mouth with Qureshi's foul one on Pillai. What a Track 2, friendly diplomacy at zero level by state players.
Even if Pillai was wrong and the content and the timing of what he said was not music to Krishna, the faceless minister for foreign affairs did a great disservice to Indian interests and honour by publicly lampooning his own government's secretary and choosing to walk with a Qureshi, who is not even a Congress voter. It seems the Congress has waged a war on the home ministry. First, the minister was targeted by none other than the centre of all decisions — Sonia Gandhi. She was religiously followed by the beguilers Digvijay and Mani. Poor Chidambaram couldn't even expect help, or even feeble support, from his constitutional boss, Man Mohan Singh. And a failed leader from Madhya Pradesh, seeking solace in the lap of Naxalites and jihadis through ill-timed pilgrimages to their homes sought to get a few headlines by certifying Chidambaram left-handedly through ‘arranged' interviews on news channels and in the print media. The government and the party are managed through the media a la Rakhi Sawant's Swayamvar. "I won't speak anything till the media is present."
When the mechanic loses the will to repair the car, he fights with his tools to harass the complaining clients. The people, in this case are the receivers of a failed government's irritation, born out of self-realized incompetence. The governors intimidate an opposition through the most-abused tool of CBI in preparation of elections and then ask its leaders to enjoy lunch with them! They say no one should use the term Islamic while reporting terrorism and then make sure that a new term Hindu terror is widely circulated on the basis of a few unbaked ‘homemade' servings of politicized Intelligence agencies. Their CBI lets off Mr Honey “Q” of an Italian clan and unfreezes his London accounts while a blue-eyed boy of 10 Janpath is let off by the same agency which is now sarcastically believed to have shifted it headquarters to Congress party's tool room, earning its daily bread by exonerating Jagdish Tytlers from having any ‘hand' in the massacre of 3,000 Sikhs. The same clan gives Bharat Ratna to a person who had justified the killings by an infamous line "when the big tree falls earth shakes", and refuses honours to Savarkar and Syama Prasad Mookerjee, who lived and died for the unity of the nation. Yet, they say, they believe in democracy.
They have no qualms in inviting the divisive Muslim League to join the Cabinet and talking affectionately to the traitors and offering olive branches of love and ‘understanding' to Naxalites. But have you ever heard a Hindu leader was ever invited by the PM on lunch for exchanging notes on what's happening in the nation? It's the most revengeful governance horrendously practising ideological apartheid against a particular section of believers who happen to be Indians and patriotic. They are harassed, condemned and sought to be banished just because they demand Kashmiri Hindus' return with safety and honour, and a temple where Ram was born. They get delisted for saying no to the destruction of a bridge that was built by Ram. These saffrons are not Nehrus and believe that even a boy who was pasting posters of the party in his young days can become party president and you don't have to be essentially born in a family to dream high. They oppose tooth and nail any theocracy -- no Hindu state and no special privileges to any one on the basis of religion and want a united India.
But they are projected as the biggest threat to Muslims who have fared worst in any secular regime from West Bengal to UP and Kashmir to Kerala. From Day 1, when we got a truncated independence, the Nehrus were always inlvolved in unsavoury deals. First we saw the Jeep scandal involving Nehru's blue-eyed boy Krishna Menon, while jawans were fighting a battle in Kashmir. Followed by Mundhra and Nagarwala cases. India lost 1.25 lakh sq km of land to China and Pakistan after 1947 and under a Congress regime suffered 1962's humiliation due to ignoring defence preparedness. We lost Haji Peer in spite of the 1965 win and left Kashmir unresolved at Simla after 1971's great victory. The Congress rate of own-goals was furthered by assaults on Justice Jagmohan Lal Sinha's verdict, Emergency, Blue Star, faux pas of IPKF in Sri Lanka, Bofors deal, Submarine purchase scandal and kowtowing to Washington's pressures.
Poverty and rural unemployment has increased abysmally in Congress regimes forcing thousands of farmers to commit suicide while 40% of India lives on a mere Rs 20 a day earning. The footpath people, who are born, live and die on the pavements of the metros have got no solace while the multistorey buildings of the rich get even higher. This government has proved that the Nehruvian doctrine of the elite has only fattened the rich and robed the emasculated masses. And the world's most atrocious exile of an entire community too occurred in Kashmir under the dispensation of the Congress, whose flagship is marked with a soft attitude on Afzal and affectionatly mourning LeT's Ishrat Jahan.
The most scandalous incident of ignoring the nation's defence needs relates to the inability of the Congress/UPA regime to purchase urgently needed military hardware for the forces.
A kiddish media fed on government largesse and ready to be used for revenge killings becomes a tool of the secular machinations to mount assault on the Hindus on the dotted pattern of the Stalinist Soviet Russia. They forget tarnishing Hindu name tarnishes India too. They forget that Hindus have never ever supported any extremism in their age-old lifespan. Pluralism and a warm appreciation of a different viewpoint are intrinsically woven into the Hindu fabric, which has given shelter to the persecuted communities of the world and the uniqueness is expressed through Dargah worship to the Indian Islam, a trait which is strictly forbidden in the Wahhabi lands. They appropriated Gandhi murdering his legacy of tolerance and an indigenous pattern of development seeking to eliminate the fact that Gandhi represents not only the best in India but the best in Hindu Dharma. They never gave anything substantial to Muslims and the worst-ever riots since 1947 against Sikhs and Muslims occurred during Congress regimes, read the home ministry's reports. It was the Congress that showed all the love for the world's biggest perpetrators of mass murderers who unleashed dictatorial terror regimes like Stalin and Mao, inviting their Indian followers to share governance and copied the hateful Godse to suffocate Gandhi's legacy in governance and organization by supporting family rule and intimidating everything that represented the Indian ethos, from Ayodhya to Sharda in POK, yet claim to be ‘tolerant, objective and cultured' politicians.
They support the separatists in Kashmir, help them gain weight and provide medical help and logistics to them, yet want Kashmir to remain in India. They wish the world would recognize the fact that Kashmir is India but we fail to emphasize the unanimous resolution of Parliament that pledged to regain the land Pakistan and China grabbed illegally.
Governance was never at such low ebb. And at its riotous best. Keep your fingers crossed as it can go to any length in ts hunger to harvest elections in Bihar and UP.
The only loser would be the idea of India.

Pakistan or Pornistan?
No. 1 Nation in Sexy Web Searches? Call it Pornistan
They may call it the "Land of the Pure," but Pakistan turns out to be anything but.
The Muslim country, which has banned content on at least 17 websites to block offensive and blasphemous material, is the world's leader in online searches for pornographic material, FoxNews.com has learned.
“You won’t find strip clubs in Islamic countries. Most Islamic countries have certain dress codes,” said Gabriel Said Reynolds, professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Notre Dame. “It would be an irony if they haven’t shown the same vigilance to pornography.”
So here's the irony: Google ranks Pakistan No. 1 in the world in searches for pornographic terms, outranking every other country in the world in searches per person for certain sex-related content.
Pakistan is top dog in searches per-person for "horse sex" since 2004, "donkey sex" since 2007, "rape pictures" between 2004 and 2009, "rape sex" since 2004, "child sex" between 2004 and 2007 and since 2009, "animal sex" since 2004 and "dog sex" since 2005, according to Google Trends and Google Insights, features of Google that generate data based on popular search terms.
The country also is tops -- or has been No. 1 -- in searches for "sex," "camel sex," "rape video," "child sex video" and some other searches that can't be printed here.

Hindus in Sindh attacked after boy drinks from mosque cooler
TOI News
ISLAMABAD: Several members of the minority Hindu community were attacked and forced out of their homes in Pakistan's southern Sindh province after a boy drank water from a facility outside a mosque.
About 60 Hindu men, women and children were recently forced to abandon their homes at Memon Goth in Karachi, the capital of Sindh, after influential tribesmen of the area objected to the boy drinking water from a cooler.
"All hell broke loose when my son, Dinesh, who looks after chickens in a farm, drank water from a cooler outside a mosque. Upon seeing him do that, the people of the area started beating him up," a Hindu man named Meerumal told The News daily.
"Later, around 150 tribesmen attacked us, injuring seven of our people — Samo, Mohan, Hero, Chanu, Sadu, Heera, and Guddi — who were taken to the Jinnah Hospital," he said.
The Hindus who were forced out of their homes have taken refuge in a cattle pen. One of the injured, Heera, said about 400 Hindu families are being threatened to vacate the area.
"Our people are even scared of going out of their houses. We are also putting up with living in the filthy (cattle) pen because we cannot go home for fear of being killed," said Heera, who too is living in a cattle shed.
"A trivial incident led to riots between the people of the area. Since both the communities happened to be illiterate, the matter just flared up," said the chief of Memon Goth police station.
Sindh's Minority Affairs Minister Mohan Lal has assured the Hindu community that it will receive full government protection. "I have directed the (district police chief) and the SHO to ensure that these people go back to their houses safely," he said. Lal said the culprits will be dealt with severely.

I am a Hindu now: A former Muslim’s life story
Courtesy:http://www.interfaithshaadi.org/
I was born into a very staunch Muslim family in the US. Learning to read the Quran the moment I could read. I was under the misconception that if I did not do as Allah told me to do, I would be punished severely. I was also told that if I didn’t wear modest clothes I was being immoral. Right from a little girl I wore the head scarf. My friends would ask me why, and I would tell them “because God said so’.
Around the age of 14, I realized how much of life I was missing out on. How my father commanded that I do my prayers 5 times a day and never play any sports because they would only lead me to the devil. One night I was talking to my parents about college and my father said that I would never go to college because he had chosen a boy for me and I was about to get married to him as soon as I turned 18. I was shocked….my mother ran out of the room crying. I began to plead with my father to let me go to college. But he said no. When I asked him why, he told me that Muslim women are not supposed to be educated or go to work. They are supposed to be good wives, who never disagree with their husbands and be good honorable women. I couldn’t belive my ears. This man was still living in the dark-ages.
The next day after school I went to the mosque to talk with our Maulvi Sahab. When I told him about my father’s irrational behavior—he agreed with him. He told me that if all the Muslim men in our community thought like your father, we would be in a really good place right now.
I was stuck and didn’t know what to do. I kept thinking about it till late that night. At around 2am my mom came to check up on me and found me crying. That night I came to know what a sick religion Islam was. She told me that she had been a well educated (Doctor) Hindu woman who had fallen in love with my father in India. During their courtship my father had told her that he was very broad-minded and did not want her to convert when they got married. Against my grand-parent’s wishes she married him and did the Nikaah just so her mother-in-law would like her. Thats where her nightmare began. Her In-laws would not let her go out of the house. No one could come and visit her. She was confined in a home where everyone would spit on her for being a ‘Kafir’. They made her read the Quran and do Namaz. If she didn’t they would beat her. My father would come home and force himself on her. When she would ask him not to, he would tell her that it was written in the Quran, and she was nothing more than a slave to him. After about a year of their marriage, they left for the US. My mom was already pregnant with me.
When I was born he was not too happy with my Mom. He said that if he had married someone of his own faith he would have had a boy for sure. Giving him a girl was the way Allah was punishing him for marrying a Hindu.
When I heard all this I began to hate my father and Islam. I promised to get my mom out of this situation and also never ever end up like her. When I turned 18, along with the help of a lawyer, I managed to get my mom and dad divorced. My mom actually went back to school and has a flourishing practice now.
As for me, you might say that I reverted. I am a practising and loving Hindu now. I have changed my name (new name is not given with the fear of punishment of death for apostasy). I live a life full of love and adoration for a God who does not preach hate, who encourages me to think and gain knowledge, who shows me the way without fear and who loves everyone no matter who they are.
I got married to a Hindu guy and having one beautiful daughter.
Stone pelters of Srinagar and the walnut tree
Tarun Vijay
Rafiq was a small-time wage earner in Srinagar. He worked in a suburban bag factory as a semi-skilled labourer. His cousin had been found dead in police custody a day before and hence he took leave to join the jenaja — last journey of his dear cousin the week we were in Srinagar to organize a seminar in memory of Syama Prasad Mookerjee, who laid his life for the full and irreversible integration of Kashmir with the rest of India. Suddenly stone pelting began by some of those who were part of the jenaja, as anger mounted to see police personnel in the way, resulting in a shootout.
Next moment, Rafiq, who had come to share the grief of the loss of his brother, was dead. A stray bullet had pierced through him.
I felt disturbed hearing the news. What was Rafiq’s crime? How can one explain to the mother and sister of the poor fellow the reason of his jeneja at the age of 28? Couldn't the police have acted with some restraint and let the anger pass with looking the other side or just keeping away from the jenaja route? Can all the Muslims in Srinagar or the valley be dubbed anti-nationals and terrorists? If we say the valley belongs to us, then those who people the valley must also be owned up and made to feel our warmth of belongingness.
Kashmir is us. Then surely the people too are our own.
And so was Colonel Neeraj Sood, who died fighting the terrorists. He laid down his life courageously serving the motherland. While we empathized with the family of Rafiq and felt strongly about how police can be further restrained, I found no one, in Srinagar publicly mourning the martyrdom of Colonel Sood.
No politician went to salute his body at the airport, no media organization wrote about his death with a sense of sorrow.
On the contrary, there was a provocative glee on the front pages of the Kashmir dailies describing the colonel’s death.
Why?
The security forces are in Kashmir on the orders of the constitutional powers and they are simply obeying the democratically elected governors. The same people are happily accepted as personal security guards by even the separatist leaders of the valley, but are often mocked at, almost lynched and brutalized when found lonely and vulnerable. I can understand the anger among Delhi or Murshidabad people against the rough and rude behaviour of a police force run under a colonized framework, but if a soldier in khaki is beaten up in Srinagar, it’s not because he is wearing khaki. It’s India he represents. His motherland, India, which is beaten up.
Why?
If the Srinagar youth are us and we feel an affinity with them, it’s not because they are pro-Pakistan or demand separatism, but because we feel they are Indians and we must show our camaraderie to them as fellow citizens living under the grace of the tricolour. Hence, we must share their agonies and pains and dreams and ambitions to rise like Shah Faisal, who topped the Indian Civil Services exam and wants to be a role model for the Kashmiri youth — not the stone pelters.
Jawans of the security forces, which include the police too, are as much children of Mother India as are the Indian Kashmiri youth of the valley.
I visited various parts of Kashmir and know for sure the trouble that hogs the limelight in Delhi and elsewhere is simply limited to a few urban centres crowded by a lazy and almost semiliterate on Kashmir, national and international media. The whole exercise of the stone pelters and their “abbas” is to attract attention and show that not everything is fine in Srinagar. The local people, be those shikarawallas (boat owners in Dal Lake) or small shopkeepers want their business to run, see their children grow in a happy atmosphere, have them study in good schools and colleges and rise in life. For them, business means attracting more tourists. They feel aghast that if these stone-age separatists are so devoted to Kashmiri welfare, why do they spoil their business in the peak tourist season? They don’t want to shut their shops and businesses almost every other day, sometimes for weeks at a stretch, but the fear of getting killed by the anti-national elements and having no corner to take shelter, they yield to the bandh calls of the terrorist groups. It’s the separatists who are using the common Kashmiri as cannon fodder to their lunatic agitational approach, funded and guided by Islamabad. They have a vested interest in keeping the common people poor, backward and indulging in stone pelting, because a happy, prosperous and peaceful Kashmir would delegitimize their claims and demands.
So what happens when a Shiva temple is burnt on the outskirts of Srinagar during a bandh call? Or an Amarnath Yatra is sought to be shrunk to just 15 days in the name of environment protection by those who were responsible to kill the Dal lake with pollutants and have nothing to say about that? When the falsehood overpowers the stark naked truth and the media laps up the make-believe stories strengthening a notion that all Kashmiris support separatism? Nothing.
Half a million Hindus were coerced to leave their homes and nothing happened. Temples were destroyed and nothing happened. Not even a feeble series by a chivalrous mediaperson to document the destruction of places of Hindu worship. The president of the Bar Association of Srinagar gave a statement to the press that said: “I am not Indian.” It was front-paged by many newspapers. Nothing happened. An advocate, who declares that he is not an Indian, is practising in the courts and the authorities are keeping a silence on his mouthful of anti-India statements. Being an Indian has become a matter of loss in Kashmir with the Centre’s Nehruvian policies and provincial politicians using separatist emotions for votes.
No stories on Hindus who still remain in Srinagar and Anantnag. They seem to have been categorized as expendable.
Kashmir is full of good, noble-hearted and intelligent people. It’s only the small coterie of separatists fed on New Delhi’s appeasement and American support (like Hurriyat — no base except a Washington-Islamabad helpline). A scholarly politician, a Muslim leader, was in tears while describing the pathetic condition of Hindus in the valley. And he narrated a true story of an abandoned Hindu home that turned my eyes moist.
In a village near Srinagar, abandoned by Kashmiri Hindus, he saw a walnut tree peeping out of a window. It was a strange sight. Walnut trees are grown in an orchard and not in drawing rooms. He went close and found the tree had taken roots inside a room and since the windows were broken, it grew to the side where the light of the sun came from. The plants always grow like that, towards the sun. How was it possible that a walnut tree was planted inside a room? No, perhaps, and he used his imagination, when the Hindus were on a run, in a hurry a member of the household might have left some walnuts inside the room. Years of moisture and a dilapidated condition of the house, which used to reverberate with sounds of laughter and tears of joy or mourning, made the left-over walnuts take root and grow.
Take root and grow?
A house was turned into a jungle.
And nobody would like to speak about it.
A walnut tree grew from inside a house.
Usually, and quite naturally houses grow under a tree shadow. Trees never grow from within a living house.
The walnut tree growing from inside a baithak, a living room of a family must be telling a tale. Where were the samovars, children, the kahwa and the songs when the walnut took a root?
And the slogans of the Hindu Muslim unity, the sufi tradition, the message of brotherhood emanating from Charar -i-Shareef and Hazrat Bal?
No one answered.
I share the grief of Rafiq. But not at the cost of forgetting the martyrdom of Colonel Sood.
I must, with thanks, reproduce a poetic tribute by Shiv Om Rana to Colonel Neeraj Sood here as my tribute to a great martyr:
An ode to Late Col Neeraj Sood
(who laid down his life Kashmir while chasing terrorists)
Rest In peace.
O! My brother-in-arms.
For you wished very young,
To be thus destined.
Expect not your countrymen,
Or political masters
To mourn or give a trime.
For them your life is yet another brine.
TV channels will show a flick or two,
So will print media do.
But all will be forgotten
In another day or two.
Only your family will carry the cross
Of missing son, brother
Husband or father
For rest of their life.
Rest In peace.
O! My brother-in-arms.
For you wished very young,
To be thus destined.

Zakir Naik: International Preacher of Islamist Hate
The Federation of Student Islamic Societies (FOSIS) in the UK and Ireland has issued a statement condemning the decision by the Home Office to ban Dr Zakir Naik from visiting the UK. According to the FOSIS announcement:
The Federation of Student Islamic Societies (FOSIS) in the UK and Eire today criticised the decision by the Home Office to ban Dr Zakir Naik from visiting the UK.
Faisal Hanjra, President of FOSIS, said today, “This is an individual who is a widely-respected household-name for many Muslims in the UK. He has carried out a significant amount of work in India to reach out to both the Muslim and non-Muslim communities and he has a truly global following. Crucially here, his stance vis a vis terrorism is clear – he condemns it and has done so categorically. His banning by the Home Office is shocking.”
He further added, “The campaign by right wing think tanks and media outlets has unfortunately paid off. For the Home Secretary this is a shocking own goal. We hear time and again the cry of freedom of speech and freedom of expression, this event strikingly illustrates once again that it is one rule for the Muslim community and another rule for everyone else. We will strongly oppose these moves to ban legitimate speakers from entering the UK, and we will work tirelessly to increase their profiles in our communities until our government starts acting with some commonsense.”
Canadian media has reported on some of the incendiary comments that have been made by Dr. Naik who was also banned from entering Canada:
An Indian Muslim televangelist who was banned from Britain last week for “unacceptable behaviour” will not be allowed into Canada to speak at an upcoming conference in Toronto, sources familiar with the situation have told the National Post.
Dr. Zakir Naik, who has said “every Muslim should be a terrorist” and that Jews are “our staunchest enemy,” was to headline next month’s Journey of Faith Conference — which is billed as one of North America’s largest Islamic conferences and is expected to attract upward of 10,000 people.
Dr. Naik, the Mumbai-based founder of Peace TV and a widely respected lecturer in India, has a laundry list of views that could have led to his exclusion from the U.K. and Canada, both of which require an Indian citizen to obtain a visitor visa.
The 44-year-old medical doctor recommends capital punishment for homosexuals and the death penalty for those who abandon Islam as their faith.
He has said that a man is within his right to beat his wife “lightly,” though in a July 2009 YouTube video he cautioned against hitting her on the face or leaving a mark.
The “Keep Zakir Naik Out of Canada” Facebook group, which was launched over the weekend, also points out his view that western women make themselves “more susceptible to rape” by wearing revealing clothing.
Among the chief reasons, British Home Secretary Theresa May decided to quash Dr. Naik’s U.K. speaking tour later this month, however, were comments he made in a widely circulated 2007 video.
“If [Osama bin Laden] is fighting the enemies of Islam, I am for him … If he is terrorizing a terrorist, if he is terrorizing America the terrorist, the biggest terrorist, I am with him,” said Dr. Naik, who has delivered hundreds of talks in India, Canada, the U.S. and the Middle East. “Every Muslim should be a terrorist.”
A report by the Center for Social Cohesion that outlined the Muslim Brotherhood ties of the Federation of Student Islamic Societies in the U.K. and Ireland (FOSIS), founded in 1962 and described as an umbrella grouping of most major university Islamic societies in the U.K. The report concluded that ISCC’s (campus Islamic societies) and FOSIS members are more likely to hold intolerant views:
Significant minorities of Muslim students – and particularly younger ones – support violence in the name of Islam, endorse punishing Muslim apostates “in accordance with the Sharia” and believe that men and women are not equal in the eyes of Allah and should not be treated equally.
Comparable minorities, around 10 percent of Muslim students, also have little or no respect for Jews, atheists or homosexuals and support Islamist proposals such as re-creating the Caliphate, introducing Sharia law to Britain and establishing an Islamic political party. Sizable numbers, between 20 and 30 percent of Muslim students, also hold intolerant attitudes towards minority forms of Islam such as Shi’ism and Sufism.
The report additionally suggests that active members of Islamic Societies are more likely than other Muslim students to hold such intolerant views – notwithstanding that active ISOC members are also more likely to believe that democracy and re-interpreting the Sharia are compatible with Islam. ISOC leaders and former members make up the membership of the Federation of Student Islamic Societies (FOSIS).
However, as only a minority of Muslim students are active members of ISOCs, FOSIS’ claims to represent British Muslim students should be treated with caution. Treating FOSIS as representative of all Muslim students risks disproportionately empowering a small number of highly conservative, and sometimes Islamist, individuals at the expense of ordinary Muslims.
At the same time, a significant minority of non-Muslims polled had a hostile view of Islam, being less respectful towards Muslims than towards other minorities such as Jews, homosexuals and atheists. Non-Muslims are also more likely to believe that the narrow and intolerant interpretations of Islam promoted by Islamist and conservative groups represent the “true” Islam: for example, more than half of non-Muslims polled believe that Islam favours inequitable treatment of women and is incompatible with secularism. This strongly suggests that Islamist groups and the ideas they promote are partly responsible for the intolerance found on campuses towards Muslim students and their religion.
The poll results also indicate that a large proportion of Muslim students, up to 40 percent depending on the question, are undecided on key issues such as the legitimacy of religious violence, respecting others and whether Islam is compatible with secularism.
It should be noted that as discussed in an earlier post, that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who has been charged with attempting to blow up a U.S. airliner in 2009, was President of the Islamic Society at University College London between 2006 and 2007.

What is the secret of success in Gujarat?
V. Shanmuganathan
* Successful interlinking of a dozen rivers
* 24 hour uninterrupted three phase electricity to all the 18000 villages and their households
* Water can be seen flowing in the rivers which had dried long back
* Rural productivity has gone up
* The migration to urban areas has come down.
* Percapita Income of Muslims of Gujarat is the highest in the country
* Because of administrative excellence, corruption has come down.
"What is the secret of success in Gujarat? What is the basic factor that is responsible for the all round development of the State?" I raised this question. During my conversation with C.M. of Gujarat Mr. Narendra Modi said "the people of Gujarat are responsible for this. Without people’s participation, the impact of government run schemes would be lost upon. Therefore, we involve people in all development programme. We have converted adversity into opportunity". Mr. Narendra Modi has indeed initiated a stable, all round development of the state with power and passion.
Gujarat was always a water scarce state. Water sector has been traditionally characterized by less rain fall, faster run off into the sea, few perennial rivers, and uneven distribution of water across regions, low ground water levels, salinity and desertification. Because of these challenges, harnessing of water was given utmost importance. Priority was given to completion of multi purpose Sardar Sarovar Narmada Project. At the same time a mega project of constructing 400 km long recharge canal to carry extra flood waters to dry areas was undertaken. These efforts were supplemented by interlinking of rivers of the state and water conservation was made a people’s movement. More than 3 lakh check dams, village and farm ponds, Boarhounds have been made in recent years. The age old step wells which were defunct are also being revived. The results are revealing: under ground water tables are rising every year, drinking water is no longer required to be supplied through Lorries or tankers. Another major work was to supply water, to far of areas like Kutch district through Narmada by laying bulk line and distribution of water. Gujarat has successfully interlinked a dozen rivers including sabarmati. Because of this effort, water can be seen flowing in the river which had dried long back.
BJP government in Gujarat also paid full attention to the energy sector. Government provided new investments in the power generation, transmission and distribution facilities. New transmission lines covering 58,599 km were laid down. New transformers numbering 12621across 18000 villages were incorporated. New power plants were launched. The biggest achievement of Narendra Modi was to provide 24 hour uninterrupted three phase electricity to all the 18000 villages and their house holds. It has not only brightened the lives in the house holds but has also energized the economic activities in the villages. Its effects are enormous. The rural productivity has gone up and the migration to urban areas has come down. In the whole of India, in the energy sector, Gujarat is Number 1 state which added maximum mega watts in electricity generation. Also, renewable sources of energy have been developed including wind and solar energy.
Another wonderful effort is carried on every year in the field of education. In the month of June the Chief Minister along with his Cabinet Ministers travels to remote villages to encourage parents to enroll their children in school. Young children in lakhs get enrolled in standard 1 all over the state. People of Parent teacher association, self help groups, donors present the newly enrolled children, with school bags, slates, text books, note books and uniform as gifts. To motivate the parents of the girl child, the Govt. has introduced a scheme called "Vidya Laxmi". This scheme provides for a fixed sum when girl get admitted to standard 1st and 8th which can be encashed after the girl child has passed standard 5th and 12th respectively. In addition, he also provided insurance cover to all the school and college students worth Rs 1 lakh. Similarly, the state gives attention for higher education, technical, medical, engineering and other institutions of excellence to ensure better quality.
Narendra Modi launched a special scheme to improve Health service by evolving the private medical doctors to undertake safe deliveries of pregnant women. This approach has allowed the poor mothers to undergo safe delivery at the clinics of private medical practitioners who would be reimbursed by the govt. in this region. This has led to substantial increase in safe deliveries and drastic reductions in the mortality rate of mothers and the new born. In Gujarat, if a house is registered in a woman’s name the govt. exempts its stamp duty. Govt. attracts investments to the tune of lakhs of crores of rupees in various sectors of industry. And infrastructure from domestic as well as foreign investments through a special campaigning programme called Vibrant Gujarat.
Law and order situations are far better. According to the annual report published by the National Crime Records Bureau, the incident and rate of violent crimes place Gujarat in much better position in comparison with many states in the country.
Gujarat handles public grievances with a humanitarian approach. In the state capital every month on 4th Thursday, applications of the aggrieved persons are invited; their grievances are registered and instantly transmitted online to the concerned authorities at the secretariat level as well as district level. Then the authorities feed their replies. In the afternoon, the C.M. personally listens to the applicants one by one. The grievances as well as replies of the concerned authorities are available on his screen online. Through video conference facility, C.M. Modi on the spot interacts with the concerned authorities at the district level in the presence of the applicant. At this time, the applicants are free to interact or interrupt the authorities. Since the Chief Minister interacts personally, the administration is on the toes. This was proved as a very effective system of grievance address.
At the district and taluka level, concerned authorities hear the public grievances on the same day and redress them.
Unfortunately, malicious lies about Gujarat have been spread throughout India and the world, that Muslims are severely discriminated against and persecuted in Gujarat. It is an attempt by anti-Gujarat elements motivated by political enmity, to break the fast pace of good governance led Shri Narendra Modi. In 2006, Prime Minister appointed a committee headed by Shri Rajinder Sachar. This committee made a detailed study of the economic, social and educational conditions of Muslims in the whole of India. This report shows that Muslims are happiest in Gujarat. Muslims receive mainstream education. Their literacy level is fast improving. The proportion of Muslims in high govt. services are better compared to UP or West Bengal. Economic prosperity of average Muslims are far better than any other state. Per capita income of Muslims in Gujarat is also highest in the country. Development of Gujarat is all inclusive, all nourishing and all pervasive. Even the Sachar Committee had to accept that Muslims of Gujarat are on firm socio-economic footing.
People who are in power are often charged with nepotism and favoritism towards their Kins and friend. But even the worst critic of Modi; acknowledge that the corruption in the state machinery has come down.
The model of governance which Narendra Modi has evolved is based upon performance not appeasement. When it comes to fixing rational electricity charges, he went by the professional advice given by the Electricity Regulatory Commission. Even in the midst of farmer’s agitation, he did not buckle. Instead he assured the farmers that he understood their requirements. They need water not electricity. In the following years, he implemented surface water schemes. Now the farmers can get water for irrigation in much lesser costs because the water tables have risen up.
A large number of encroachments which were obstructing the road traffic were removed. A large number of electricity theft that were caught and people were booked. No agitations took place. People knew that it was all for their benefit in the long run.
I returned to Delhi, after seeing a glimpse of Gujarat Government’s performance. My heart was full of satisfaction. I was touched to see the triumph of people’s aspiration under the able leadership of Mr. Narendra Modi. His vision, integrity, ability to take right decision and identification with common people’s concern has made BJP government very successful.
