Swayamsevak stabbed to death by CPM thugs

KANNUR: A RSS swayamsevak was stabbed to death and another seriously injured by a group of CPM thugs near Mattannur, early today triggering fresh spell of tension in the district.

Swayamsevak Sajith Kumar a bus driver by profession (29) and his friend Biju were attacked with deadly weapons by the assailants as they were returning home last night after taking part in a marriage reception of their friend at Kalanthode.

CPM's Kannur Bomb cuture is now implemented in other parts of the states as well in their bid to check the growth of Hindutva organisation.

Bombs were thrown at the houses of two BJP activists, Annancode Devan and Naniode Madhu, on Sunday by CPM activists in Pattancherry. Locals said that four people came on two bikes and hurled the bombs.

War room

Tarun Vijay

While Barack Obama is busy formulating an Af-Pak policy, we are busy in melting-point informatics and "my brother Rahul will become PM one day"
kind of family employment schemes. The Prime Minister "revealed" to a group of journalists that he had decided to resign if the nuclear deal with the US was not passed in Parliament. To fulfil his "kasam" to Washington, he silently saw the lawmakers' highest body turn into a mandi.

For him, his "kasam" was more important than the "maryada" of his nation's parliament.

I wish he had honoured in the same way his "kasam" to the Indian people – the oath he took while taking the office of Prime Minister, that bound him to protecting the lives of his people and giving a government that treated all citizens equally.

Pota was removed to please Muslims. A special reservation scheme was implemented at Aligarh Muslim University to have seats for a particular religious group reserved.
The Planning Commission allocated Rs 3,000 crore for minority (read Muslim) development schemes and banks were directed to give loans to the minorities at a special consideration. To address Kashmiri Muslim "sentiments", Afzal's hanging was delayed till the next government is formed. Ram Sethu was brutally assaulted and Rama's existence was denied – all before the eyes of Mr Nice and Dr Decent. Not a single word was spoken to address the sentiments of Hindus.

He kept a studied silence seeing the butchers of 1984 being protected and promoted as party candidates for Lok Sabha elections till a shoe throw compelled the leader to delist them.

So much for his "kasam" to provide impartial governance.

The "kasam" to protect the people and safeguard the honour of soldiers was "fulfilled" in such a manner that soldiers returned their war decorations and had to demonstrate like pariahs at Jantar Mantar. The government was busy decorating the liars and voices of terrorists.

And now, there is a controversy regarding a story sourced to the Special Investigating Tribunal blaming certain NGOs for cooking up ghastly stories of barbarism, which, the report says, never occurred. The person who has been charged having helped file such "cooked up" stories became a darling of the secular media noises in Delhi who would present her stories like a constitutional tribunal's report.

There is a contradiction which is further confusing as SIT is still silent on it. For the sake of justice and fair play, the truth must be investigated and the honour of the people, whichever side they might belong to, be restored. If the Kausar Bi story was filed truthfully, the criminals must be hanged in public along with the perpetrators of Godhra. But if it was a fabrication, the "writer" must be punished because if a mind can cook up such ghastly scenes, what will be the difference between what Kasab and his gang did in Mumbai and what these pen-pushers of the secular chill club do to India and her people? A writer more known in London wrote a story as spine chilling as was the Godhra fire. It read, "A mob surrounded the house of former Congress MP Iqbal Ehsan Jaffri. His phone calls to the Director-General of Police, the Police Commissioner, the Chief Secretary, the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) were ignored. The mobile police vans around his house did not intervene. The mob broke into the house. They stripped his daughters and burned them alive. Then they beheaded Ehsan Jaffri and dismembered him. Of course it’s only a coincidence that Jaffri was a trenchant critic of Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, during his campaign for the Rajkot Assembly by-election in February.'(Arundhati Roy’s article, Outlook, dated 6 May 2002).

Ehsaan was killed but the rest of the story was false for which Roy had to apologize. A people traumatized, painted black all over the globe, their character mutilated and just an apology?

And who were those killed in the Godhra train who never got a line from these "chroniclers of human tragedies"?

Just waste paper?

Read what the Union minister of state for home, Shriprakash Jaiswal, who belongs to the Congress, told Parliament on May 11, 2005: "790 Muslims and 254 Hindus were killed in the riots, 2,548 people were injured and 223 people were missing."

Who were those killed in Gujarat riots along with Muslims?

Just dirt?

The hate-Hindu cartel represents the hate of Ghaznis and Ghauris. They survive on the funds given to them by Congress-Communist groups and state powers controlled by them. Their social acceptability and glamour is enhanced by "praise for each other" societies. And Mr Nice and Dr Decent pats them with state awards.

Amid cacophony and intemperate language laced with shoe throws, criminals and convicted actors are having a field day canvassing for their parties and though a mature and stable democracy we pretend to be, the first casualty in this situation has been decency in public debate.

The poll scene has turned the nation into a war room. The last 62 years have witnessed our motherland's vivisection, a million people killed, 1.25 lakh sq km of land illegally occupied by aliens, massacres by Pakistani marauders in Mirpur and in Bihar by Maoist terror outfits, the jeep purchase scandal in 1948, a humiliation like 1962 when ordnance factories were ordered to make coffee machines instead on rifles, the Nagarwala mystery, the submarine scandal, wheat import commissions, farmers' suicides, forced exile of Kashmiri Hindus and desecration of more than 172 temples. The list is ever-growing amid inspiring stories of Indian people’s perseverance and achievements.

Isn't it time we rose above fault lines, gave a chance to an India that would make every Indian of every denomination, faith, colour and creed an equally proud partner? Can't we think and vote on issues that overpower religious, caste-based and parochial concerns? Will this war room kind of atmosphere result in a decisive mandate?

Hindus worldwide to intensify protest against Sony's Hanuman video game

In absence of any satisfactory response from Sony Corporation, Hindus are planning to intensify their protest movement for withdrawal of its controversial "Hanuman: Boy Warrior" video game for PlayStation2.

Spearheaded by acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, who has stressed that this game "trivializes the highly revered deity of Hinduism", many other Hindu leaders and groups world over have joined the protest.

Bhavna Shinde of Forum for Hindu Awakening in USA found the video game "highly objectionable to us Hindus worldwide" and asked Sony to withdraw it at the earliest and publish an apology, besides requesting distributors and sellers of games to exclude it.

Vamsi Krishna of Sanatan Sanstha based in Australia found it "very disrespectful, disgraceful and an insult" to Hindus. Besides its immediate removal, also requested Sony to issue an apology.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti headquartered in India appealed to Sony to immediately withdraw the game, render unconditional apology to Hindus for hurting religious sentiments, and assure of not repeating such acts in future.

Furthering the drive pioneered by Rajan Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism; Jawahar L. Khurana, Chairperson of Hindu Alliance of India; Lila D. Sharma, President of India Heritage Panel; Dharam Loonaa, Executive Director of Universal Society of Hinduism; and Rakesh Nagpal, General Secretary of Shri Ramayan Pracharini Sabha; have also urged Sony for urgent withdrawal of "Hanuman: Boy Warrior" video game.

Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, pointed out that as Sony's Corporate Social Responsibility stated, "Sony responds swiftly when a problem arises by investigating the facts and taking appropriate action", Sony should immediately withdraw this game showing some "responsibility" to its hurt Hindu customers worldwide. Moreover Sony should create a high-level check system so that denigrations like this did not happen in the future.

Businesses should handle faiths with utmost care and sensitivity and should not reshape the religious concepts merely to fulfill their financial greed, Zed argued.

Rajan Zed had earlier stated that re-imagining Hindu scriptures and deities for commercial or other agenda was not okay. Lord Hanuman was not meant to be reduced to just a "character" in a video game to solidify company/products base in the growing economy of India.ord Hanuman is greatly revered and his worship is very popular among Hindus and there are numerous temples dedicated to him. Hinduism is the oldest and third largest religion of the world with about one billion adherents.

Sony, with Howard Stringer as Chairman and headquartered in Tokyo, is one of the most comprehensive entertainment companies in the world. (ANI)

Trans World Radio-India compelling its employees to convert

Innocent and gullible Hindus are exploited by the Christian missionaries not only in remote areas but also in metro cities like the national capital, New Delhi. The racket of converting innocent Hindus to Christianity has been flourishing in Delhi and the surrounding areas for decades. So much so that the evangelists have become so brash and impudent that a Christian institution -Trans World Radio, India (TWR, India) started compelling its Hindu employees to Christianity. When the employees outrightly rejected the proposal of their employer they were tortured in very inhuman ways and some of them were even sacked from their jobs. Those who are still in the service are being subjected to ruthless, inhuman torture every day and are denied even the weekly off or holidays on festivals.

These employees have been served three months of ultimatum on March 23, to either embrace Christianity or quit the job. “We are working in very inhuman conditions. Though the management has five days a week office, we are denied even the weekly off on Sundays and other festivals like Holi, Deepavali, Republic Day, Independence Day or even Christmas. Everyday we are tortured through different methods. Life has become hell for us and nobody is ready to listen to our woes. We were warned on March 23 to embrace Christianity within
three months or resign from the job, alleges Lal Singh Yadav, a cleaner in TWR-India. He said the TWR-India adopted all means allurement of money, promotion, etc. as well as threat to remove from the jobs, if the non-Christian employees do not embrace Christianity.

Now the employees are denied even their salary and they have been told to collect donations if they wish to draw salary at the end of the month. We are told that the institution has stopped getting aid for the Hindu employees and if you wish to draw your salary as a Hindu employee collect donations. We have been given receipt books to collect donations. We are constantly being told that if we become Christian we shall get higher salary and other facilities, alleged Lal Singh.

Meanwhile, the victims approached the Court of Metropolitan Magistrate, New Delhi, requesting to save them from the forced conversion. The court summoned the culprits and granted bail on March 28. According to the petition filed by the five employees of TWR-India (Ram Babu, Ghanshyam, Munna, Lal Singh and Hari Prasad) the officers of the TWR-India particularly Smt. Christine Swaroop Raj (Director HR), Smt Vinita Sahai (CEO), Smt. Dezy Sem, Supervisor, Shri Shakti Verma (Technical Director), have been pressuring and torturing them for the last few years to convert to Christianity.

Passing adverse comments upon Hinduism that Hinduism has many castes and the upper castes do not accept the lower caste i.e. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes is a daily routine there. In the month of June 2007, Smt. Vinita Sahai told Ram Babu, "Tum chamar chuhde aise hi kutte ki tarah rahoge aur tumeh sab kuchh jhelna parega agar tum isse bachna chahte ho to apna dharma badal kar Christian ban jao." When Ram Babu requested her not to comment like this she got furious and repeated the comment.

In the month of August 2007, Smt. Dezy Sen told Ghanshyam to convey to all the Hindu employees that hereafter they would have to take their meals only by sitting near the toilet. When Ghanshyam wanted to know the reason, she got infuriated and said, "Tum log bhangi ho aur tumeh toilet ke paas hi baith kar khana parega aur agar tum aisa nahin karoge to tumeh naukri se nikal diya jayega." Thereafter the victims were forced to sit near the toilet in foul
smell and were compelled to take their meals there only. The victims tolerated it, as they do not have any other source of income.

In October 2007, Ram Babu approached Shri Shakti Verma and apprised him of the maltreatment and harassment meted out to them and very humbly requested him to request the management not to harass them. But to the utmost shock and surprise, Shri Verma started abusing him in filthy language saying, "tum sab chure chamaron ko jute maar kar bahar nikalenge." The management of TWR-India levelled false allegations against Ram Babu for misbehaving with the seniors and also not performing the duties properly. A false and frivolous inquiry was ordered against him and finally he was removed from the job. All the five victims were frequently called bhangi ka kutta. Not only this, the victims were called in the office by the accused persons and were made to sit for hours and were harassed and pressurised to convert their religion against their wish.

The victims were boycotted socially and were treated discriminately as neither they are allowed to sit along with other employees specially the Christian employees of the management nor they are allowed to interact with them. They adversely commented that until and unless they change their religion they would be treated in the same fashion and even may be worse than that. The aggrieved victims also lodged complaint with the Police Station in Hauz Khas with copies to DCP South, Lt. Governor of Delhi and Human Right Commission on January 10, 2008, but in vain.

On January 15, 2008, Smt. Christine Swaroop Raj called Lal Singh in her office and straight-way started abusing on the pretext that why they lodged complaint against them. Lal Singh humbly apprised her of the harassment they were being subjected. But instead of paying any heed to the complaint of Lal Singh, she burst into anger and said, "Ya to tum sabhi bhangi-chamaron ko Christian banna parega nahin to main tumeh naukri se nikaal dungi." The victims also approached the Labour Commissioner, SHO and National Commission for SC/ST but of no avail so far.

The victims are harassed every day. Ram Babu had been appointed as Attender in 1993 and instead of promoting to further higher rank, he was down graded to cleaner without any cause, reason or fault on his part. "One day I inadvertently touched the meals prepared for the persons attending a meeting. I was not only abused by the incharge but also was pushed away using very filthy language," alleges Ghanshyam. When the Hindu employees went to the court, the management transferred them to Chennai, where they are allegedly being tortured
not only by them but also by the local police.

Sadhvi Pragya assaulted

Sadhvi Pragya was assaulted by a fellow inmate at Byculla Jail and sustained injuries to
her face, nose and neck.

Pragya's advocate G. Sovani said that he had moved an application before the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court, seeking to file a private complaint in the matter.

Additional Session Judge M.R. Puranik of the MCOCA court granted her plea. She plans to file a complaint before the Mazagaon Metropolitan Court on Wednesday.

According to Sovani, on March 26 Sadhvi Pragya had been admitted to the Sir J.J. Hospital for treatment. After her discharge April 15, she was shifted to the Byculla Jail.

The following day, an inmate in the jail, Mumtaz Sheikh, abused her in foul language and even threatened to throw her out of the prison, Sovani claimed.

Mumtaz, detained under the Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities Act, repeated her behaviour following which Sadhvi Pragya complained to the jailor.

On Monday, while the inmates were proceeding for lunch, Mumtaz assaulted her with a food bowl. Sovani said his client sustained minor injuries on the face, nose and neck, compelling her to lodge an assault complaint.

Deceptive directives of the fundamentalist Mullahs and Bishops

Dr Babu Suseelan

On the eve of the general election, Islamic fundamentalist Mullahs and Christian Bishops of various denominations have issued a directive for their followers to vote for candidates defending and promoting secularism. What is their directives mean? Do totalitarian Muslims and fundamentalist Christians believe in secularism? Calling Islamo fascists and Christian fundamentalists to vote for secularists should be instantly recognized as an oxymoron, analogous to claiming that fundamentalism is secularism. Islamic fundamentalists and hardcore Christians are against Hinduism, secularism, pluralism, spiritual practices and Hindu deity worship.

The statement issued by Mullahs and Bishops are deceptive and it is meant for manipulation of phony Indian secularists. In India, secularism is used against tolerant, passive, and unorganized Hindus. Indian secularism is based on hatred against Hindus and it is for promoting dualistic, rigid, and totalitarian Islam and Christianity. Secularism in India is used for Islamic and Christian appeasement and to subjugate and discriminate Hindus. It is not based on religious neutrality or to promote universalism, pluralism or spiritual values. Indian secularism favors and promotes Muslims and Christians. It inhibits Hindu cultural and spiritual practices, ethical values and morality in all manners. For phony Indian secularists, fundamentalist Mullahs and sectarian Bishops are privileged. Indian secularism opposes the majority Hindus that is why Mullahs and Bishops direct their followers to vote against BJP. Christians and Muslims are always put at an advantage by phony secular politicians. Bogus secular political leaders disperses money, power and special privileges to Muslims and Christians who are deadly against secularism to prevent Hindus from acquiring political and social power. Mullahs and Bishops want to retain special privileges and special power in the present context as widely as possible.

The deceptive propaganda campaign and special directives to be read at all Mosques and Churches about the election are not uncommon things. Islamic fundamentalists and Christian Bishops are intolerant people who do not respect Hindu spiritual values, secular principles or Indian ethos. By spreading distorted news, they hope to gain the sympathy of unsuspecting Hindus in order to build up anti Hindu, anti BJP sentiments among the gullible people. The devious goal is to further their aggressive agenda for conversion.

Duplicity and deception are not uncommon characteristics of the vicious Mullahs and Bishops in India who are actively engaged in conversion of Hindus. With a hostile and arrogant attitude, and financial backing from their supporters abroad, these Bishops and Mullahs are obsessed with increasing their political power. They are in the business of harvesting souls by which they want to save Hindu heathen.

Hindus have been extremely tolerant, accommodating, passive and naïve. It is the tolerance, hospitality and apathy that has been sadly abused and insulted by Muslims and Christians. It is time for Hindus to take up the trident of truth and fight against these fundamentalists who are deadly against secularism. Hindus should be assertive and forceful to correct that which is false and purge the pseudo secularists from our midst.

Overcoming Denial

Dr. Babu Suseelan

As part of the election campaign, I have traveled the breadth of Bharat. BJP is very strong where RSS and VHP are effective. Christians, Marxists, Muslims and treacherous regional parties like DMK, ADMK, PMK, Telugu Desam, BSP, NDF and PDP have made an unholy alliance against BJP and Hindus. These anarchist groups receive millions of dollar from western Christian and Islamic nations to destabilize India and deconstruct Hindu society. The entire media is in the hands of Christian, Muslim and foreign groups who have determined to spread lies and manufactured news about BJP and Hindus. BJP should have assertively promoted Hindutva and a strong national policy for a vibrant and secure nation that can lead the world. BJP will come out as the largest single party with large number of parliamentary seats.

The bogus secular Hindus are trying to avoid major dangers by exposing Jihadi terrorism, Christian conversion, Corruption, looting of public wealth, black money and Pakistan inspired Islamic violence. And they are making compromises to appease Muslims, Christians and subversive groups. Congress, Marxist and regional political leaders are very hypocritical. They are in denial and easily give in to anti national pressure groups to protect themselves against injury and punishment. However, giving into this attitude leads to a loss of Hindu identity and self-esteem. The danger of assuming hypocritical behavior is a loss of Hindu identity. They wear a mask that pleases Muslims, Christians and their secular slave masters. However, they play the double role too well, compromising Hindu needs too much, and the mask becomes a permanent fixture. Could this election help Hindus to expose these scoundrels and miscreants? These pseudo secularists are in a hurry to surrender to hate and to their slave masters.

During my trip to Mumbai by train, I had the opportunity to speak to a secular journalist about preferential treatment for Muslims and Christians, Indian Black Money in Swiss Banks, Coercive Religious Conversion, Jihadi terrorism, distribution of Pakistan printed Indian counterfeit currency by Muslims, foreign money flowing into India for subversive activities and for conversion, Christian and Muslim domination in government, in education, security and defense. The secular journalist responded: "You know you're making all this up, it isn't true. I certainly don't remember any of the things you are telling now". The speaker was a Congress party member and a journalist and he was telling me in no uncertain terms that he did not believe me. His amnesia is intact and strong protecting him from unpleasant facts. I decided to blast at his denial a little. My remarks made him uncomfortable, but it did not break his thick wall of denial.

In fact, majority Hindus are in deep denial. Denial is an unconscious coping mechanism that grants people to adjust to uncomfortable situations. But when denial goes too far, it can interfere with reality check or create obstacle to moving forward. Like the secular journalist, majority Hindus are not realistic. They are afraid of responsibility and taking bold action. When Hindus are in denial, they appear to be pretending that something is not happening or is not true. This deliberate denial prevent Hindus from effectively dealing with issues such as Jihadi terrorism, Christian inspired Mao mischief, missionary directed Naxalite anarchism, Congress corruption, Marxist subversive activities and regional party inspired separatism that require effective strategies. It is a roadblock to result oriented and goal directed action.

In its strictest sense, denial is considered to be an unconscious process. That is someone does not choose to be in denial. However, In India, educated and secular Hindus and psychopathic political leader's denial may be sometimes having a conscious component-they may deliberately choose to be in denial. In either case, they are in denial and the Indian media amplifies it. Indian secular politicians and the oppressed Hindus want to avoid pressing issues and threatening facts of the situation. They minimize the consequences of Jihadi terrorism, subversive activities, and coercive religious conversion.

During my interaction with common travelers, intellectuals and political leaders I have found that denial is not the only mechanism they use to escape from reality. Alienated intellectuals and phony secular Hindus use other types of defense mechanisms to escape from responsibility. They use rationalization to justify Jihadi terrorism, religious conversion, corruption, and Islamic violence. Irrational rationalization and phony explanations help them to hide the real reasons for Jihadi terrorism, religious conversion, and foreign inspired subversive activities. They justify anti national activities and disastrous Congress policies and deeds with elaborate and incorrect explanations.

It is strange that the media in India resorts to "Repression" in dealing with pressing and problematic situations. By banishing all awareness or painful situations, they enable citizens to avoid problematic issues from their thoughts and feelings-as if they never happened. Media Repression and Suppression confuses the majority about threatening issues and enable them from thinking about the problem.

Hindus need to join together and break the thick wall of denial. Hindus are faced with life threatening issues. When faced with an overwhelming turn of events-Hindus have to face the reality of the situation.

HSS celebrates Hindu New Year in Bangkok

Unity and devotion to Dharma keys to Hindu rejuvenation
-Tarun Vijay

A history was created in Thailand last week when for the first time grand celebration of Hindu new year was organized under the banner of the Hindu Swayamsewak Sangh (HSS) in Bangkok on 3rd April 2009. Shri Tarun Vijay, Director, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Research Foundation and a veteran journalist was the chief guest. Shri Chintamani Tripathi, Sanghchalak, HSS, Thailand, and President, VHP, Thailand presided while Shri Ashok Bajaj, President of the largest Hindu temple Dev Mandir was guest of honour. Several senior leaders of Hindu community and organisations were present on the occasion with a special presence of the cultural secretary from the Indian Embassy Shri Subir Datta.
The programme began with hoisting of Bhagwa Dhwaj and offering flowers at the portraits of King Bhumibal Adulyatej Rama the ninth, Bharat Mata, Dr. Hedgewar and Shri Guruji. Shri Tarun Vijay was warmly welcomed by several leaders of the Hindu organisations and with a scintillating Sangha geet by Shri Suresh, he was requested to give the baudhik. In his baudhik Shri Tarun Vijay gave details of the significance of the Hindu New Year, which is also celebrated in Thailand as Songkrem (13th April to 15th April). He said that Hindus world over are respected for their intelligence, loyalty to the adopted country and peaceful nature.’ Hindus dont bomb the country they adopt' he said amidst the roaring applause.
He appealed the Hindu organisations to shun their differences and forge a unity based on Hindu culture and civilisational moors.’ We are not Biharis, Punjabis or Gujaratis in a foreign land- just emphasize your Hinduness and that alone shall win you a place of honour on a foreign soil. He said Hindus are passing through a most difficult phase in their age old journey when not only they are assaulted geographically but also their soul is bruised and brutalized by the followers of exclusivist ideologies breeding hate and violence. Hindus are the only community in the world which has been assaulted most barbarically just for its faith and colour and a belief in pluralistic principles of universal brotherhood. This South Asian region has become a nightmarish area of attacks on Hindus reducing their geographic presence in an unprecedented manner-from Afghanistan to Dhaka. Hindu presence has been shrinking drastically in this region, he emphasized. Hence its time we must forge unity on the basis of Hindu Dharma, which alone is the guarantee to safeguard pluralism and a respect for the different viewpoint.
He said that Thai King Bhumibal Adulyatej has set a glaring example of devotion to culture and Dharma by naming the Bangkok International airport as Suvarnabhumi, which is an old Sanskrit name of the region. At the aiport the first most gracious and inspiring sculpture of ocean –Churning (Sagar Manthan) by Devas and Asuras with Shri Vishnu in the middle symbolizes the deep cultural affinities of Thai people with Hindus. This spirit of an unapologetic devotion to one’s cultural heritage has to be strengthened and imbibed, he said. He also gave details of the Hindu organisations’ march ahead in Bharat and said that its extraordinary that the largest Hindu organization on this planet has elected 59 year old Mohan Rao Bhagwat, as its global chief with unprecedented changes at every level bringing the young to the forefront of action. This has given a new hope and strengthened the trust in Hindu power that stands for the universal peace, mutual understanding and a harmonious message based on acceptance of cultural pluralism, so essential to resist and defeat nefarious terrorism affecting global societies. He noted that amazingly Ganesh Puja is finding a new popularity in Thailand and almost every home and business establishment has a Ganesh Puja corner that shows a positive sign for the future of this highly modern and forward looking society. In the politically turbulent times in Thailand, we must pray for the stability and peace strengthening the democratic set up, he said. Pt. Lalit Mohan Vyas, Chief Priest of Dev Mandir, called upon all Hindus to adhere to the basic tenets of their dharma. Dharma alone protects he said citing several vedic references.

Shri Dinesh Mani Dubey, Budhik Pramukh (incharge intellectual activities ) said that it’s a great day for the Hindus in Thailand as all the major Hindu organizations have come together to participate the Hindu new year-so rare for the Indian community abroad. He assured that more such programmes shall be organized in future to forge unity and a feeling of togetherness. Shri Umesh Mishra, organizer HSS, Thailand welcomed the guests and said that Hindus must shun their petty differences of language, provincialism and sectarianism so that a unity of purpose is achieved.

Shri Vijay Sharma, a veteran swayasewak conducted the proceedings. Leading stalwarts of the Indian community from difeent sections of Thai society attended the function. Amongst them were Shri Sushil Sarraf, Shri Rajkumar Mahta, Shri Satish Pahwa, Shri Lalit Kishore, Shri Sushil Dhanuka,President of Hindu Dharma Sabha and Chairman Vishnu Mandir Shri Krishna Datta Upadhyaya, and its secretary Shri Om Prakash Mishra, President of Thailand International Gita Ashram Shri Mahesh Agarwal, Shri Tejasvi Shukla, Coordinator of Hindu Buddh Samanvaya Shri Rajkumar Dubey, Shri Parmatma Tripathi, Shri Suresh Dube, and Shri Pramod Dube were amongst the distinguished gathering. Shri Yash, a greatly admired singer of the Hindu Bhajans sang a scintillating song accompanied by Shri Chandrakant.

Hang Kasab publicly, says Thackeray

Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on Friday said Mumbai attack terrorist Mohammed Ajmal Kasab should not be provided any legal help and be hanged publicly near the Gateway of India.

"Why should Kasab be provided legal help? There is public demand that he should be hanged near Gateway of India and no time should be lost in trial," Thackeray said in an editorial in Sena mouthpiece Saamana.

Alleging that Kasab was being treated as a "guest", the Sena chief said, "Kasab's mother, who is coming to visit his son in prison, would now be given treatment as if she was a veermata (martyr's mother)".

He further said that Kasab's lawyers have not gauged the public fury and were "playing" with the country's prestige by being in the limelight through the case.

Teesta, it Hit Your Face

Courtesy:http://www.sandeepweb.com/

The news fresh from the oven is how the mass of concocted turd that Teesta Setalvad threw against Modi came back and landed on her own face after seven years. Teesta has understandably vanished from the public glare, given that she has lots of cleaning up to do. Moping up seven years of accumulated excreta takes a long time.

Every new finding on the Gujarat riots seems to be doing two things: lessening the culpability of Modi, and exposing the fabrications of charlatans of the Gujarat Riots Milking Federation, which Teesta heads. And so it is with the latest report by the Special Investigation Team’s (SIT). For once, the Slimes sums up the report’s essence well:

The SIT also found no truth in the following incidents widely publicised by the NGOs:

*
A pregnant Muslim woman Kausar Banu was gangraped by a mob, who then gouged out the foetus with sharp weapons
*
Dumping of dead bodies into a well by rioteers at Naroda Patiya
*
Police botching up investigation into the killing of British nationals, who were on a visit to Gujarat and unfortunately got caught in the riots

But this is not all. Now, I’m a staunch advocate of something called historical sense, which helps us put things in proper perspective.

Teesta Setalvad is a solid specimen of the vilest form of profiteering: from other people’s misery. She’s so vile that if no misery actually exists, she’ll invent one. Exhibit 1:

Zarina Mansuri, a 30-year-old Muslim woman who was believed to have been brutally hacked to death and later burnt to ashes by a mob in the Naroda Patiya massacre of February 28, 2002, was not even alive at that time. She had died of tuberculosis (TB) some four months earlier.

From the same news report, Exhibit 2:

About the rape of one of her friends, Shabana (15), which Anisha is said to have witnessed (according to her statement recorded by police on May 15, 2002), Yunus’s deposition said: “This, again, is wrong. Anisha had witnessed nothing like that that day. We, along with several others, were hiding on the same terrace of a house in Gangotarinagar at that time and none of us had seen anything like that.”

Exhibit 3 is more renowned. It concerns the curious tale of a certain Zahira Shaikh, her carefully-nurtured “eyewitness” who turned around and bit her in unmentionable places. Teesta being Teesta, she took her “revenge” by defecating in the form of a few PDFdocuments. You can reasonably mark Zahira’s U-turn as the beginning of Teesta’s rapid slide into public infamy. All media houses carried this sensational event on their front pages for a few days. Till then a very fiery and highly visible Teesta gradually evaporated, shrewdly deducing that her crusader image was suddenly dented in the most unprecedented manner.

But the skeletons didn’t stop falling. In December 2008, her trusted aide, Raees Khan defected, revealing even fouler details. To her further dismay, the Nanavati Commission submitted the first part of its report, which absolves Narendra Modi of any complicity in the Gujarat riots. And now, the SIT report, which directly implicates her.

“It is clear from the report that the horrendous allegations made by the NGO were false. Cyclostyled affidavits were supplied by a social activist and the allegations made in them were untrue…

The picture of Teesta that finally emerges but which we knew all along: an impostor with a hidden agenda. Recall that Teesta was the only person that went after Narendra Modi with singleminded determination almost every single day for at least 3 years. A measure of success of her brazen activism is the Supreme Court’s premature pronouncement of Modi as the “modern day Nero.” The SIT report clearly shows some of the dubious and outright illegal methods she followed in her quest for “justice” (sic):

*
Tutoring witnesses
*
Filing false affidavits
*
Lying openly
*
Manufacturing tales of incidents that didn’t actually occur
*
Threatening witnesses and aides who didn’t “obey” her

In other words, she didn’t have a case. But she got away with it for some time not because she was good at it but because she was hysterically vocal about it, and assumed that those who were with her were as ethically decrepit as she was. However, Teesta’s spurious activism has done significant damage: it spawned off an entire cottage industry built on the edifice of falsehood. This cottage industry was awash with tons of funds because it was able to convince idiots abroad that the “fight for justice” was genuine. On the more dangerous side, some of these were well-intentioned idiots but others were active traitors. Gujarat was the perfect opportunity. Also, her sisters-in-crime like Arundhati Roy spun kilometres of yarn based on the Ripped Foetus Theory postulated by Teesta. Indeed, the theory holds a mirror to Teesta’s macabre imagination: I mean, she could’ve simply said: Kausar Banu’s head was severed or some such thing. But Teesta’s sadisitic mental imagery stretches it to: Kausar Banu was gangraped by a mob, who then gouged out the foetus with sharp weapons. No, don’t try to visualize that. Writing it was horrible enough for me.

And now, where is Tehelka, which broke the “most important story of our time” just when the Gujarat elections were about to follow?

Meanwhile, it’s also highly interesting to note that Teesta has received several awards for her fearless quest for justice. Here’s the list:

* Padma Shri: in 2007
* M.A.Thomas National Human Rights Award from the Vigil India Movement.
* Parliamentarians for Global Action ‘Defender of Democracy’ award, jointly with Helen Clark, the Prime Minister of New Zealand.
* The Nuernberg Human Rights Award 2003

And the unkindest cut of all: The Nani A Palkhivala Award in 2006. An award named after the defender of Indian democracy given to a swindler of public conscience. Says a lot about the mental health of the jury.

Now that she’s been comprehensively exposed, will those institutions rescind the awards?

NGOs, Teesta spiced up Gujarat riot incidents: SIT

Dhananjay Mahapatra, TNN

NEW DELHI: The Special Investigation Team responsible for the arrests of those accused in Gujarat riots has severely censured NGOs and social
activist Teesta Setalvad who campaigned for the riot victims.

In a significant development, the SIT led by former CBI director R K Raghavan told the Supreme Court on Monday that the celebrated rights activist cooked up macabre tales of wanton killings.

Many incidents of killings and violence were cooked up, false charges were levelled against then police chief P C Pandey and false witnesses were tutored to give evidence about imaginary incidents, the SIT said in a report submitted before a Bench comprising Justices Arijit Pasayat, P Sathasivam and Aftab Alam.

The SIT said it had been alleged in the Gulbarg Society case that Pandey, instead of taking measures to protect people facing the wrath of rioteers, was helping the mob. The truth was that he was helping with hospitalisation of riot victims and making arrangements for police bandobast, Gujarat counsel, senior advocate Mukul Rohtagi, said quoting from the SIT report.

Rohtagi also said that 22 witnesses, who had submitted identical affidavits before various courts relating to riot incidents, were questioned by the SIT which found that they had been tutored and handed over the affidavits by Setalvad and that they had not actually witnessed the riot incidents.

The SIT also found no truth in the following incidents widely publicised by the NGOs:

* A pregnant Muslim woman Kausar Banu was gangraped by a mob, who then gouged out the foetus with sharp weapons

* Dumping of dead bodies into a well by rioteers at Naroda Patiya

* Police botching up investigation into the killing of British nationals, who were on a visit to Gujarat and unfortunately got caught in the riots

Rohtagi said: "On a reading of the report, it is clear that horrendous allegations made by the NGOs were false. Stereotyped affidavits were supplied by a social activist and the allegations made in them were found untrue."

Obviously happy with the fresh findings of the SIT which was responsible for the recent arrests of former Gujarat minister Maya Kodanani and VHP leader Jaideep Patel, Rohtagi tried to spruce up the image of the Modi administration, which was castigated in the Best Bakery case by the apex court as "modern day Neros". He was swiftly told by the Bench that but for the SIT, many more accused, who are freshly added, would not have been brought to book.

The Bench said there was no room for allegations and counter-allegations at this late stage. "In riot cases, the more the delay, there is likelihood of falsity creeping in. So, there should be a designated court to fast track the trials. Riot cases should be given priority because feelings run high having a cascading effect," it said and asked for suggestions from the Gujarat government, Centre, NGOs and amicus curiae Harish Salve, who said the time had come for the apex court to lift the stay on trials into several post-Godhra riot cases.

While additional solicitor general Gopal Subramaniam agreed with the court that public prosecutors should be selected in consultation with Raghavan, counsel Indira Jaising said there should be a complete regime for protection of witnesses as the same government, which was accused of engineering the riots, was in power now.

Salve said that he would consult Raghavan and let the court know about a witness protection system for post-Godhra riot cases. The court asked the parties to submit their suggestions within a week.

Yes, Only Majority Hindus Can Save India from Becoming Another Pakistan

Narain Kataria

India is under an armed attack from within and without. An undeclared war has been unleashed on Hindus. Hizbul Mujahideen chief Salahuddin has planned to send 400 trained terrorists to launch terror strikes during the country’s general elections in April/May 2009. Another Muslim terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba has threatened to target India ’s senior scientists and its top Hindu politicians. . According to one report in The Times of India, 107 people have been killed and 449 others injured in bomb blasts that have rocked Assam in the last six months U.S. State Department has said that there were at least 971 Naxalite attacks in the first seven months of 2007.

During the last five years of United Progressive Alliance government led by the Congress Party , India has touched the nadir of humiliation and degradation in post-independence era. At this time, thousands of Jihadists and Maoists are being trained to destabilize India . The lack of political will in India , deep vested interest of political class coupled with the vote bank politics has emboldened various cabals of terrorists to kill innocent people and spread anarchy all over India .

The deadly combination of radical Islamic and Maoist terror is the single biggest internal security threat to India ’s existence as an independent nation. Several mini-Pakistans have sprung up all over India . Azamgarh region in Uttar Pradesh and southern sate of Kerala have become breeding ground for Islamic terrorism. Muslim Sleeper cells all over the country are waiting for a signal to commence the subversive activities and bleed India to death.

Both these fanatic groups want to tear India apart. They are guided by the foreign ideologies. Their loyalty to India is highly questionable. Islamic fundamental is funded by the Hawala money. Hence no information is available on the government records. However, according to the Home Ministry Report for year 2005-06, posted by Sanjeev Nayyar at ExploreIndia@vsnl.net, states that Rs. 7,877 crores were sent to India by way of contributions. One other report indicates that between year 1993-94 and 2006-07, a staggering sum of Rs. 64,670 crores was sent to India from Western countries. Bulk of this money goes to Missionaries in India who convert poor Hindus to Christianity. After converting to Christianity, these people join the Maoist movement, kill their own brothers and create chaos and mayhem all over India .

The magnitude of danger posed to the survival of India in one piece can be gauged from the following few examples. Maoists have already overthrown the Hindu government and taken over the neighboring Nepal . Naxalites-Maoists now have a presence in 40% of India ’s geographical area. In the last two years, Naxal-related violence has already claimed the lives of 700 people in India including 250 security personnel. In 2008, India’s Central Reserve Police Force in its operations in 18 states seized 7,000 kg of explosives According to an estimate made by the Police, about 5000 Maoists armed with AK-47 rifles, mortar and rocket launchers and land mines are very active in this area. These are backed by another 20,000 cadres who carry self-loading rifles. It should be clear from the above that a diabolical conspiracy has been hatched to create an interregnum in India , destabilize its economy and finally balkanize India on the lines of Soviet Union or Yugoslavia .

Radical Islamists are ruthlessly killing Indian citizens, mostly Hindus, with impunity. Due to its vested interest in Muslim votes, the Government of India , headed by the Congress Party, pursues pro-terrorist policies and deliberately downplays the heinous role played by Islamic sleeper cells in the terrorist attacks.

Secularism has become an euphemism for the Hindu-bashing. Hindu has become a dirty word in the lexicon of phony-secularists. Any person espousing the Hindu cause is dubbed communal. That person is harassed, demonized and his/her voice is gagged. If the person displays any signs of stubbornness, that person is put in jail under the National Security Act a la Varun Gandhi!

On the other hand, no action is taken to hang the convicted terrorist Afzal Guru, the mastermind behind the 2001 attack on India’s Parliament. No action is taken against the Kashmiri Muslims who burn the Indian flag in full public view. No action against is taken against the Muslim legislator of UP who had announced Rs. 50 lakh award to anyone who would behead the Danish cartoonist allegedly to have insulted Prophet Mohammed! No action was also taken against the Ulema Council members who unfurled Indian flag upside down in a public rally in New Delhi . This utterly unfair treatment of Hindus in their own country is the closest thing to the Islamic rule of Aurangzeb.

Elections 2009 will start from April 16th. This is a crucial time for the Indian electorate. They get an opportunity to decide whether they want to be ruled by the Gandhi Dynasty or the nationalist parties like BJP. The other lesser choices they have are the Leftist-Islamist combine supported by selfish and greedy Hindus who derive inspirations from Russia/China/Pakistan, or by the castiest leaders and regional satraps.

It is about time the Hindus learn from Muslims and Christians who almost invariably vote strategically and en block. If Hindus use their common sense, intelligence, financial resources and cast their votes en block in favor of those candidates who have the Hindu interests in their heart, they could jettison all anti-Hindu politicians and put their own candidates in Parliament.

As declared by the Hindu Dharma Acharya Sabha, the apex representative body of all Hindus, every individual vote is sacred and sacrosanct. If Hindus want to avoid five more years of ignominy and discomfiture and they want to live in India with self-respect and dignity, they should cast their vote judiciously in favor of those who can guarantee them safety and security. They should give their precious vote to those candidates who want to take Bharat Mata to the pinnacles of glory. Hindus should reject all other candidates outright who subscribe to the alien ideologies of hate and intolerance.

Hindus and Sikhs are the backbone of Indian society and polity. India, as a country, is secular because the Hindus are in majority. Anyone working against Hindu interests should be treated as a traitor to the Hindu cause and should be boycotted socially. Therefore, it devolves on the 83% Hindu majority to show signs of courage and maturity, and vote only for those candidates that possess the brave kshatriya spirit to liquidate the enemies of nation.

It is only through this vigorous and collective response from Hindu public that the India could be saved from becoming another Pakistan .

There is nothing called the 'moderate Taliban'

MJ Akbar

If necessity is the mother of invention then politics is often the father. Barack Obama has invented a phrase that did not exist on January 20,
the day he became president. Anxious to win a war through the treasury rather than the Pentagon, he has discovered something called the "moderate Taliban" in Afghanistan. Joe Biden, his vice president, has found the mathematical coordinates of this oxymoron: only 5% of the Taliban are "extremists".

Welcome to Obama's first big mistake.

The war in Afghanistan and Pakistan is not simply against some bearded men and beardless boys who have been turned into suicide missionaries. The critical conflict is against the ideology of a chauvinistic theocracy that seeks to remould the Muslim world into a regressive region from which it can assault every aspect of modernity, whether that be in political space or the social sphere.

Washington has a single dimension definition of "moderate": anyone who stops an active, immediate war against the US is a "moderate". Let me introduce him to a couple of "moderate Taliban". They are now world famous, having been on every national and international news channel these past few days, stars of a video clip from Swat. Two of them had pinned down a 17-year-old girl called Chand Bibi, while a third, his face shrouded, lashed her with a whip 37 times on suspicion of being seen with a man who was not her father or brother.

Obama should record the screams of Chand Bibi and play them to his daughters as the "moderate" music to which he wants to dance in his Afghan war.

These Taliban are "moderate" by the norms of the Obama Doctrine: they have come to a deal with America through Islamabad. Pakistani troops are not engaged in their medieval haven, nor are American Drones bombing their homes. All that remains, one presumes, is that they are placed on the Pentagon payroll as insurance of their ceasefire.

Perhaps, in their desperate search for moderation, Obama and Islamabad will promote the denial being manipulated into public discourse. The unbearable Swat-lashing video is now described as fake. It would be nice to know the names of the actors who played such a convincing part in the filming of this 'fake'. Chand Bibi has "denied" any such incident. Sure: but was any doctor sent to check the scars?

Such compromise with 'moderation' has also taken place next door, in Afghanistan, under the watchful eye of American ally Hamid Karzai. He has just signed a family law bill which compels Afghan women to take permission from their husbands before going to a doctor, seeking education, or getting a job. The husband has become complete master of the bedroom. Custody of children can only go to fathers or grandfathers; women have no rights. A member of Afghanistan's upper house, Senator Humaira Namati, has called this law "worse than during the Taliban (government). Anyone who spoke out was accused of being against Islam". It makes no difference to the Taliban, of course, that the Quran expressly forbids Muslim men from forcing decisions on their wives "against their will". Karzai's justification is the usual one: politics. He wanted the support of theocrats in the election scheduled for August this year. Under pressure, there is talk of a review but no one is sure what that means.

If it's democracy, it must be "moderate", right?

One can understand a post-Iraq America's reluctance towards wars that seem straight out of Kipling. But we in the region have to live with the political consequences of superpower intervention, and the casual legitimacy that Obama is offering to a destructive ideology will create blowback that spreads far beyond the geography of "Afpak".

Benazir Bhutto and the ISI did not create the Taliban in the winter of 1994 for war against America. Its purpose was to defeat fractious Afghan warlords, and establish a totalitarian regime that would equate Afghanistan's strategic interests to Pakistan's. The ISI conceived an "Afpak" long before the idea reached the outer rim of Washington's thinking. Pakistan worked assiduously to widen the Taliban's legitimacy and would have drawn America into the fold through the oil-pipeline siren song if Osama bin Laden had not blown every plan apart. In some essentials, things have not changed. Pakistan's interests still lie in a pro-Islamabad Taliban regime in Kabul. The "moderation" theory is a ploy to provide war-weary America with an exit point. India's anxieties will be offered a smile in public and a shrug in private.

History is uncomfortable with neat closures. Neither the Taliban nor Pakistan are what they were in 1994: the former
is much stronger, the latter substantially weaker. The fall of Kabul to the Taliban this time could be a curtain raiser to the siege of Islamabad.

There is nothing called a moderate lash, or backlash, President Obama.

Do We Justify the Most Brutal Murders by Calling Them ‘Honor Killings’?

Margaret Calhoun Hemenway

Islamic groups in the U.S. are actively trying to discourage use of descriptive terms like “Jihadi” to describe an Islamic terrorist and warn Americans against ”Islamophobia” should they use the “wrong” words to talk about Islam or Muslim terrorists. Yet Americans have already succumbed to using an Islamist phrase, “honor killing” to describe the brutal, pre-meditated murders of Muslim women (often wives or daughters) by Muslim relatives (often fathers or brothers).

There are thousands of these killings overseas (many under-reported and perpetrators unpunished) in countries ranging from Bangladesh to Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Pakistan and in Western societies like Great Britain where Muslims have emigrated. Many more Muslim women are beaten and abused. While Muslims account for less than 6% of the Dutch population, Muslim women constitute 60% of those seeking refuge in battered women’s shelters.

Somali exile and former Muslim, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who became an outspoken Dutch Parliamentarian, told the New York Post (July 23, ‘08) that honor killings are a misnomer: ”The killing occurs because these girls have allegedly brought shame on their family. The paradox is that these are individuals who have emancipated themselves. “These girls embody the American dream. They want to become self-reliant - deciding who they marry, when they marry and how many children they will have.” Hirsi Ali, who left her homeland to escape an arranged marriage, was forced to flee the Netherlands for voicing criticism of Islamic extremism and has been subjected to death threats.

On March 21st, in Jordan, a man beat his daughter to death for wearing makeup, according to the Canadian press. In Basra, Iraq last year, a Muslim teenager was murdered by her father and brothers. Her sin was flirting with an infidel - a British soldier. The murder was celebrated within the community and the murderers never brought to justice. According to the Guardian UK (May 11, 2008), the father boasted of his deed: “My sons are by my side, and they were men enough to help me finish the life of someone who just brought shame to ours.”

In a Toronto suburb in Canada, a 16-year-old Muslim of Pakistani descent, Aqsa Parvez, was strangled by her father in 2007 for refusing to wear the Islamic “hijab” or head covering. Her crime, as a friend said, was that Aqsa ”just wanted to dress like we do. She just wanted to look like everyone else.”

Increasingly, however, killings of Muslim women are occurring on U.S. soil. On July 6th last year, in Jonesboro, Georgia, according to police, a Pakistani named Chaudhry Rashid strangled his 25-year-old daughter with a Bungee cord in her bedroom because she wanted to end her arranged marriage.

The latest Alexandria, Virginia Gazette Packet (March 26-April 1) depicts the murder of a wife by her Ethiopian husband who retrieved a steering-wheel lock out of the closet to bludgeon her to death (it was not clear whether their 11-year-old daughter witnessed the murder). Although the news heading did not describe the deed as an “honor” killing, the article mentions the defense attorney attempting to explain the context in which the behavior could be understood (curious word “behavior” to describe a murder and a history of “suspicious, controlling behavior where he refused to let his wife interact with her coworkers.”) The article points out that, “The cultural differences that Hussin struggled with in America created enormous problems in the already troubled marriage. In Ethiopia, women have more defined roles.” This is a politically correct way of saying that women in these countries are expected to be submissive to their husbands and lack the legal rights of men. Under harsh Sharia (Islamic) law, only the husband can grant permission for divorce.

In January 2008, two sisters, Sarah and Amina Said, were killed in Texas by their father, who married his Christian wife when she was only 15. The girls were high achievers in school; one had won a $20,000 scholarship; both were shot to death while calling for a police dispatcher. Their Egyptian-born father, implicated in the killings, is still at large. The father was suspected of a history of physical and sexual abuse of his daughters and had threatened to take them to Egypt where they could be killed for dishonoring the family.

In a grisly and recent murder in upstate New York, a 37-year-old Muslim woman, Assiya Hassan, was beheaded by her Muslim husband. The Erie County District Attorney Frank Sedita III described the husband as a… ”pretty vicious and remorseless bastard,” (FOXNews.com- February 17th). “Whether he was motivated by some kind of interpretation of his religious or cultural views, we don’t know.” The irony of the young wife’s murder and display of the body parts, reminiscent of an act of terrorism, is that Muzzammil and Aasiya Hassan founded Bridges TV in 2004 to counter anti-Islam stereotypes.

What would motivate a husband to decapitate his wife? Her crime was the simple act of filing for divorce. Some Muslim men consider divorce a stain upon the family - bringing dishonor and therefore, punishable by death. Assiya reportedly had been subjected to domestic violence at her husband’s hands prior to filing for divorce and was granted a protection order which banned him from the home.

A rabbi who was a producer and host for Bridges TV, remarked in the wake of the murder that ”now is not the time” to debate the cultural and religious context of the murder - ”I will only say to those who leap to the conclusion that this kind of thing is intrinsic to Islam, ask yourselves if you think that drunkenness is intrinsic to Irish Catholics, or cheating in business is to Jews?”

This rabbi, aside from making odious and intellectually dishonest comparisons to Irish Catholics and Jews, evidently does not seem to understand that many women are treated as chattel under rigid Islamic regimes. In the United States, Ireland and Israel, such horrific crimes would be punished, the murderer shunned by the community, and the perpetrator could face a death penalty or life in prison.

Women are still forced to enter arranged marriages in many Islamic countries and child brides are commonplace. Feminists are oddly silent about systematic violations of the most basic human rights of women throughout the Islamic world. No murder of a spouse or daughter would ever be associated with the word “honor” in any Western democratic society. In borrowing this phrase, we are falling into the trap of letting Islamic extremists justify and rationalize the most brutal of murders.

Forget Swat, fear Taliban amid us

Kanchan Gupta

There is, we are told, disquiet among Muslims over Justice Markandey Katju’s comment, “We don’t want to have Taliban in the country”, while rejecting the petition filed by Mohammad Salim, a student of Nirmala Convent Higher Secondary School in Madhya Pradesh, for quashing the school’s regulation requiring students to be clean shaven. The student’s counsel, Mr BA Khan, a retired judge, argued that Article 25 of the Constitution guaranteed protection to Salim to pursue his religious practice of keeping a beard and the school regulation was violative of the right to freedom of religion. He said forcing the student to shave his beard was against “his religious conscience, belief and custom of his family”. Mr Khan, who made an elaborate case linking the student’s faith and his beard, does not sport one himself. This prompted Justice Katju to point out, “But you don’t sport a beard!”

While rejecting Mohammad Salim’s petition, and rightly so, the Supreme Court bench made two points. First, if Salim found the school’s rules abhorrent and unacceptable, he could join some other institution. “But you can’t ask the school to change the rules for you.” Second, “If there are rules, you have to obey. You can’t say that I will not wear a uniform I will (wear) only a burqa.” Justice Katju’s comment, “We don’t want to have Taliban in the country”, was presumably directed against those who wish to imitate the Taliban and their subversion of the secular state and destruction of civil society in the name of practising Islam and enforcing Islamic injunctions.

This week we had a glimpse of what that means, thanks to a two-minute video shot with a cellphone in Pakistan’s Swat Valley and smuggled out by those who are alarmed by the prospect of the Taliban’s ruthless enforcement of “religious conscience, belief and custom”. The video showed a 17-year-old girl, a resident of Kabal, being held face down on the ground by men while a Taliban commander flogged her with a leather strap. The girl kept on pitifully begging for mercy and screaming in pain — “Leave me for the moment... you can beat me again later...” But this did not have the slightest impact on her tormentors: The flogging continued as a large group of men stood around, watching intently at this public display of Islamic fervour.

The girl was punished, the Taliban claimed, in accordance with shari’ah for stepping out of her house without being escorted by a male family member. But this may not be the real reason: Another account said she was falsely accused of violating shari’ah after she refused to marry a local Taliban commander.

The public flogging of the teenaged girl has revived memories of the Taliban executing Zarmeena, a mother of seven children, in Kabul’s sports stadium on November 17, 1999. In more recent times, two women were executed by the Taliban outside Ghazni city in central Afghanistan in July last year. In Swat, too, women have been punished in a similar manner. On November 26, 2008, Bakht Zeba, a former member of the Swat district council, was dragged out of her home by the Taliban and brutally assaulted before being shot dead. Her crime, according to shari’ah as laid down by the Taliban: She criticised the ban on girls attending school.

The global outrage over the public flogging of the teenaged girl is believed to have ‘shaken’ the so-called civilian Government of Pakistan into ordering an inquiry. Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, to whom many jihadis owes a huge debt of gratitude for interceding on their behalf and ordering their release from prison when Gen Pervez Musharraf was in power, has tauntingly dared Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari to arrest the barbarians of Swat and put them behind bars.

That, of course, is a tall order for an effete regime which shamelessly capitulated to the Taliban’s jihadi terror in Swat Valley and signed a ‘peace agreement’ with Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Shariat-e-Muhammadi, one of the many organisations that are collectively referred to as the ‘Pakistani Taliban’, on February 16. As part of that deal, mullahs have been allowed to impose shari’ah and set up Darul Qaza or qazi courts, replacing the Pakistani justice system, such as it is.

Ironically, the ‘peace agreement’ has been endorsed by the US in preparation of President Barack Hussein Obama opening negotiations with the ‘good Taliban’. Just how good the ‘good Taliban’ is has been shockingly exposed, though not for the first time, by the smuggled video of a teenaged girl being flogged. For those who may still nurse doubts, here’s some more visual evidence: The photograph published along with this article shows a young Taliban fighter with the hands of a man that were chopped off for an unstated crime. In the land of shari’ah, these would be considered no less than trophies to be proud of.

It is this Taliban and Talibani mindset that we should be scared of; both are already there in our midst. Mohammad Salim is not alone in wanting to emulate those who flaunt their “religious conscience, belief and custom” to the exclusion of a secular state’s enlightenment. What the Taliban are practising in Swat Valley and in the wastelands of Afghanistan is being preached by mullahs in India. And they are doing so openly. A casual reading of the fatwas listed on Darul Uloom Deoband’s Website, http://www.darulifta-deoband.org, will prove this point. Here are some randomly selected examples:

Fatwa 1587/1330=L/1429: “The best purdah for woman is that the palms and no part of her body and adornments is exposed, ie, the whole body is covered from head to toe. If it is possible to see through the purdah, then the eyes also should be covered...”

Fatwa 1141/1141=M/1429: Family planning is haram and unlawful in Islam. You should apprise your wife of the commandment of shari’ah...”

Fatwa 691/636=D/1429: It is not a good thing for women to do jobs in offices. They will have to face strange men (non-mahram) though in veil. She will have to talk and deal with each other which are the things of fitna (evils).”

Fatwa 1386/227=TL/1429: “It is unlawful for women to go out after applying perfume.”

From here to chopping off the thumbs of women who use nail varnish is a very small step.

Indian Election: Hindus can Change the Landscape

By Dr. Babu Suseelan

Indian citizens are facing another election. In the election scene there are several newly defined issues that have lately captured the public’s attention. Concerns such as Jihadi terrorism, coercive religious conversion, looting of Hindu temples, corruption, preferential treatment for Muslims and Christians, pseudo secularism, discrimination against Hindus, crisis in finance, subversive activities, cultural destruction, and psychological warfare against Hindus are some of the issues that are now part of our social and political vocabulary. The political lexicon has also expanded to include the unholy nexus among Jihadi terrorists, missionary mafia, Marxist anarchists, Macaulayists, and the mindless media. These occurrences, and their latent and manifest effects, are viewed not only as significant indices of the crisis that have occurred in the last five years but also as a backdrop for our major interest in this election.

At the center and in several states, the government is controlled by a classically constructed ruling elite that are completely alienated from Hindu culture and deeply absorbed into a rootless and self-serving clique of Muslims, Christians, and mafia gang that seeks power for its own sake. The ruling elite controls the Indian economy, all the institutions of power and influence including the banks, educational and cultural institutions, the media, the courts, military, the police and the criminal justice system. This is why the anti-Hindu policy remains unchanged. That is why the media serve the anti Hindu establishment agenda and follow the directives of its foreign masters. The powerful elite want to destroy our sacred Hindu culture receive generous help from the Islamic and Christian world. The spiritual collapse of the elite has brought us the virulent self-hatred and other spiritual depredations.

Before Hindus exercise their vote, they should come together and discuss these dangerous phenomena of our time. The Congress party headed by the Italian Catholic Sonia Maino has brought the deepest possible misery to untold millions of Hindus. Jihadi terrorism, coercive religious conversion, corruption, bureau-pathology, violence, subversive activities, and Islamic infiltration have overshadowed every other source of Hindu woe in our times. For Hindus, Jihadi terrorism, missionary violence, cultural destruction and discrimination have come to appear as the greatest of all problems.

In this context, Hindus should come out of their indifference, apathy, tolerance, and denial and discuss-how such a thing could have come into our world, what are the prospects for changing it, what we can do to keep it from spreading and completing the total destruction of Hindus in India. Psychopathic political leaders have a seemingly incurable tendency to provide concessions, privileges and economic assistance for organized Muslims and Christians as a way of appeasement and creating an anti-Hindu vote bank.

Obviously, corrupt political leader’s pro-Islamic and anti-Hindu programs reflect the political and social climate; they are often good indicators of the extent to which Hindus are disorganized and indifferent. The anti national Congress party, Marxist miscreants, Jihadi terrorists, mischievous media and the missionary conversion gang have been enjoying the passive tolerance of Hindus because of the lack of organized protest. Yet if concerned Hindus are protesting or if enlightened Hindus are speaking, they are called communalists or penalized. It is as if we were all waiting. But for what, or for whom? The most dedicated Hindu nationalists have been vilified and marginalized as “communalists” and “fanatics”. There is still time for to revert our fortunes and embrace our new destiny. In this election time, there is no ground for complacency. If Hindus are not to fall into the illusions of phony secularism, they should study the great apocalyptic disaster or of our society and horror created by Jihadi terrorists, missionary mafia, Marxist anarchists, mindless media and phony intellectuals. If we fail in our mission, we are forcing Hindus to seek refuge in the purgatory of anti-national forces.

Resistance to discrimination and fighting against oppression, as well as alien dogmas and anti-national psychopathic political leaders is preferable to the present servitude from which the sense of Hindu community is absent and in which freedom means only the sense of being lost, lonely and helpless. Hindus need to wake up from the neurotic sense of tidiness in the present political arrangement and must realize that passivism, tolerance, apathy, denial and indifference are all things that can grease our path by which our nation slide into tyrannies. Hindus must be aware of the morbid and despairing delusions of the bogus secular Congress party, the brutal nature of Islam, psychological warfare of the Missionary gang, and the evil nature of subversive Marxists. Hindus must organize, unite, and fight for freedom, dignity, and for the country, if we want to avoid excruciating experiences from our nemeses.

PROPOSED SOLUTIONS

An important question raised in this context is: how this election process can be used for retaking our country for Hindus? As we are aware that the result of the Congress government was increasing chaos, corruption, Islamic terrorism, subjugation of Hindus, cultural destruction, Islamic terrorism and coercive religious conversion. Hindus are deeply troubled by the moral corruption, discrimination, and oppression and aware of the evil system created by India’s misguided political parties through violence and fraud. If not prevented, the present anti Hindu policies will destroy our culture, dismantle our temples, distort of Dharma and the future of our country will be bleak.

It is a great opportunity for Hindus to restore our dignity, preserve our culture, establish social order and halt the career of anti-national, unscrupulous and ruthless politicians. Our noble thoughts and wisdom should not preclude us from our creative effort. We should not be indifferent to evil and criminal acts. As Hindus, we should assert our freedom. Our ideal of universal harmony, tolerance and ahimsa should not prevent us from taking bold action from misfortunes created by vulgar and barbarian hordes. We need to wake up from the slumber, break the wall of denial, join together and vote BJP into power to preserve, practice, protect and promote our Dharma.

We are engaged in a battle to preserve our freedom, practice our culture, protect our dignity and promote our universal ideal. We are aware that our collective work is not without risk. There is a dangerous alliance among Marxist anarchists, pro-Islamic groups, missionary mafia, mindless Congress party, mischievous media and the anti national regional parties. The goal of the unholy alliance is to destroy our country, disrupt Hindu religious practices and promote hard core evil and totalitarian alien dogmas. The nexus between these deadly forces is to shutdown nationalist BJP party and Hindu leaders who oppose them. We cannot let these alien forces take over our country. It is time for Hindus to take back our country, our religion, temples and cultural institutions, and wipe out Jihadi terrorism coercive religious conversion, corruption and discrimination. We have to push back corrupt politicians who are all too often enablers of Jihadi terrorists and missionary conversion gangs. We cannot allow valueless values and alien ideologies of anti-Hindu leaders.

VOTE BJP INTO POWER

The present Sonia government offers our citizens the illusion of safety and security. The grandiose illusion is worsening. People have lost hope, solace and dignity and it is surely a pathological-abnormal state, a sick state, devoid of any dignity and freedom for Hindus. The recovery is possible. One is Hindus should rally behind BJP, RSS and VHP. Election of BJP can open up many possibilities. Discrimination, prejudice, physical violence and oppression of Hindus are built often wittingly, into the very structure and form in our constitution, in our policies and judicial processes. Hindu unity and power can force our psychopathic political leaders to recognize their defective thinking, thinking errors and criminal thinking.

To ensure safety, security, social development, and good government as well as to ensure freedom for our children, we have to join together and vote for BJP.

The coming election presents Hindus a choice. Our choice has meaning only when one faces normal, better, acceptable alternatives. BJP provides us a good alternative. Hindus must choose BJP. Through this process, Hindus can rise up and tell their own needs. By electing BJP, Hindus can empower themselves and avoid participating in their oppression.

It is time for Hindus to discard our irrational tolerance, ineffective passivism, apathy, our accumulated denial and indifference. While upholding our “Vasudeiva Kudumbakam” and our noble virtues, Hindus should not tolerate intolerant ideologies and psychopathic political leaders promoting hatred and intolerance. Hindus must not hear information from our distracters that would demoralize us. We have been oppressed, subjugated and manipulated before.

BJP offers a well reasoned affirmation of our liberty and Dharma in contemporary India and points the way toward more relevant and challenging directions for Hindus in the years ahead.

Media censors Jihadi Violence in Mysore

Mysore: Jihadi groups attacked Temples and Houses of Hindus following the arrest of two Jihadi Romeos. Jihadis unleashed terror against Hindus and burnt their houses here following the arrest of two Jihadi youth based on the complaints of locals.

Four Temples and more than 250 houses were destroyed by the Jihadi mob that also set ablaze 12 vehicles and four houses. An anganwadi centre, printing press, xerox shop and scores of petty provision stores were destroyed. They also looted jewellery and cash, residents say. Miscreants also attacked the house of the former Mayor H N Srikantiah and ransacked furnitures. Many policemen were also injured in the attacks.

As usual this incident will also get censored by our National medias as part of their ‘Media Ethics’ unless Hindus starts retaliation in same coin. The Media wolves are waiting to jump into the scene when the retaliation happens so that they can corner the BJP government in Karnataka as well as portray the ‘Innocent Muslims’ as victims under fascist rule.

How is Varun Gandhi, Indira Gandhi's grandson dangerous? - Balasaheb Thackrey

Chaitra Shuddha Saptami

Only Shiv Sena chief can dare to ask this question publicly and he does ask. O, Hindus, learn to express your thoughts regarding nation and Dharma like Shiv Sena chief; but that too requires daring!

Mumbai: How can Indira Gandhi’s grandson, Sanjay Gandhi’s son be dangerous to the nation? He spoke about reacting to those who are brutal to Hindus. If this thought is dangerous to the national security then arrest 800 millions of Hindus all over the country, let the whole country be a jail and declare that Nationalist Hindus were dangerous to the Nation, expressed Shiv Sena chief Shri. Thackrey in the editorial of his daily ‘Samna’ targeting at Congress and Mayawati.

The whole conspiracy to let Varun Gandhi rot in jail at least for a year is just to please the Muslims. Till now Gandhi family’s slave Congress has been engaged in pampering Muslims, weakening Hindus, fighting elections praising Mullas- Maulavis. When a youth from the same family radiant with Hindutva came forward to join politics, suddenly there was hue and cry about Nation coming into trouble.Shri. Thackrey said that this was unfortunate for all Hindus and not for Varun.
Why no action against Christians, Muslims and Manmohan Sing?

A church in Kerala announced that, vote for that party that is benefactor of minorities. Let the people know under which code of conduct the election commission has registered a crime against that and what action is being taken on the Church and the Fathers under National Security Act. Mullas and Maulavis keep on announcing continuously from their mosques that vote for those who favour Muslims. What action is taken on them? What happened to your weak, imbecile Act? Manmohan Sing makes infuriating statement that Muslims and not the Hindus have the first right to the wealth in the Nation; yet none of the 800 millions Hindus take any cognizance of it and none of them demand answer from helpless Manmohan sing, rebuked Shri. Thackrey. .

O, Hindus! You are impotent!
Arresting Varun under National Security Act, Myavati Government has given a message to all Hindus in the country, ‘O, Hindus, you are shameless, impotent. We have arrested the ones speaking about Hindutva in your own Hindustan under National Security Act. Since you are shameless you would not get infuriated and agitated. Leaving apart coming on the streets you would not even oppose unanimously. Hence o, Hindus we have arrested illegally a youth speaking the language of Hindutva and put him in jail. This is a hint given to all Hindus’, criticized Shiv Sena chief sarcastically.

An England in India goes to the polls

Tarun Vijay

After six decades of independence, India is virtually ruled by a lady who is originally a westerner and doesn’t have a command of any
Indian language unless supported by a written text in Roman. And she has become the only hope to bring back the remnants of what was once a grand old Congress party led by Mahatma Gandhi back to power through her speeches in broken Hindi addressed to India’s predominant rural voters.

She is credited with having helped the Congress win 145 Lok Sabha seats and 26.21% votes in elections held in 2000, became the head of a 219-member coalition drawn from 16 parties and ruled India from her home with Manmohan Singh acting as her nominee Prime Minister. So much so that an American embassy publication spread out her picture on one full page and Manmohan Singh was relegated to a corner passport size. It created embarrassment and corrections were made in later editions.

The flexibility of Indian voters, if one can describe this attribute modestly, is amazing. The west’s overpowering influence in recent times can be said to have begun in 1615, with a visit of Sir Thomas Roe, England's first official ambassador to India, who secured privileges for the East India Company from Jehangir, son of Akbar.

India would never be the same again.

The east, the far-east and the immediate neighbourhood, once such a hub of Indian cultural influence that it became known as Indochina, was turned to lesser importance and faded away from Indian priorities. It was only after five decades of independence that a look-east policy was devised but it still remains feeble compared with our western fixations.

The presence of a colonial power that set the cultural agenda too and gave new westward dreams of an upwardly mobile life to a common Indian drove the Indian journey and fixed our dreams to Vilayat.

It seriously affected the status of our languages. Once a nation that had the most scientific and ancient language, Sanskrit, perfect on parameters of grammar, vocabulary and phonetics, and had preserved the age-old reservoir of Hindu wisdom and scholarship – India was 80% literate before the British rule, with astounding contributions in astronomy, mathematics, life sciences, arts and theatre, literature, sea warfare, and mind-boggling wonders in architectural superiority, all attained in languages common Indians knew and spoke – India is run on a language that was never hers, was in fact imposed through coercion shutting the old and time-tested centres of Indian learning calling them as “dead, useless centres of obscurantism”.

The new contemporary rulers of any variety or colour or ideology, look at Sanskrit and other Indian languages with disdain and would never prescribe books of ancient wisdom like Vedas or the Upanishads to be taught in Indian schools under a heritage programme fearing loss of Muslim votes.

Bharat, the glorified “golden bird” famous in Arabic and Greek fables, has become a poor translation of Romanized western elitist ideas. An India, that’s what it is known as.

Though the world over our ancient books are highly respected as the gift of India, India and her politicians take them as merely Hindu scriptures, that may invite the wrath of the minorities if promoted through state apparatus and patronage. Though Sanskrit remains the language of solemnizing birth, marriage and ensuring a heaven-bound journey after death, an upwardly mobile elite of Gurgaon-Bangalore variety won’t have time or inclination to understand it. It’s of no use – no employment, no social status, no political benefit is gained through it.

In any elite circle of decision making, whether it is governance, media, arts and culture or literature, it’s simply elevating and profitable too, to shun speaking an Indian language and use English with a foreign accent to register a powerful presence and of course facilitate success. And more the American slang, the more “awfully impressive” it becomes.

Newspapers and magazines compete with each other to publish on their front pages any garbage churned out by any author recognized and awarded in Britain or New York, but never ever they would give that space and honour to an Indian language writer of greater eminence.

This change in the contours of Indian political scene and social behaviour has occurred so subtly that mostly it has been either ignored or taken as a natural phenomenon of modern progressivism and a sign of India surging ahead.

Indian rulers boast to have more English speaking people than the United Kingdom and invite foreign investments underlining “Sir, we have the largest number of work force that understands English”.

When an Indian launched a new expensive brand in undergarments, it was named Euro and the other one was Dollar. A “masses’ car” manufacturer, named it the way a foreigner would understand rather than an Indian.

We still love to call the rule of the imperialist British with a simple three-letter word: Raj. In Hindi Raj means the Rule. So those who propagated and accepted this usage for the British time in India, they wanted to assert that if there was anything that can be called as a Rule of Law, it was only during the British rule.

An Indian employee attired in dhoti-kurta is still not looked upon approvingly in India’s offices as an acceptable dress code and if he speaks English, his virtues would be described like this: though he dresses like a villager, he speaks fluent English, must be highly educated, you know.

Anything related to Indian villages is considered naturally backward, obscurantist and in south Delhi’s chic parlance “ethnic”. Indian judges love to adorn Victorian headgear and barristers and lawyers use the same old black coat and white pants while arguing, though they may be sweating profusely in an Indian summer. (Ironically Britain’s lord chief justice, Lord Phillips, felt last year that wigs contribute to the public view of judges as fusty and out of touch and that their wardrobe was, in fact, ridiculous).

To get admission to any area of a respectable vogue – from IAS to medicine – or seeking a driving license to a railway ticket issued through the internet, you must know English. At airports, tickets and boarding passes are all invariably in English, because the rulers are sure those who can afford air travel must be from an English-friendly environment. All medicines are labelled in that language of “acceptable” excellence and if a doctor, (I know a few) has his letterhead printed in Hindi, he makes’ news’, being an off-track, exceptional person.

But still he can’t write his prescription in a language that his patient understands. To be computer-savvy means to be English-friendly. This atrocious situation has denied access to the new technology to millions of Indian language speakers, who are still waiting for software that will help them use the “machine of progress”. No party has ever seriously tried to facilitate the “real masses” use information technology in their own languages.

From Kashmir to Kozhikode and Tirap to Tanakpur, English-speaking coaching centres and books and special training modules have come up. Even bus tickets are printed in English and the administration and political party offices work in that language of the colonialists whom our nationalist leaders once described as “looters, robbers and the wretched beasts who brought havoc on us and divided our motherland”. Our aircraft still exhibit two letters to denote their territory and they are VT. It means Viceroy’s Territory.

So, this India that quotes British examples to reinforce its debates on the Indian constitution, quotes British laws to explain Indian Acts, showcases British parliamentarian traditions to correct Indian parliament’s behaviour, and goes to the polls to elect a new government that would lead us to a new future.

This situation has influenced and changed our habits and world view. The great reservoir of Indian stories has been subtly replaced with Archie and Roald Dahl. Bedtime stories of grand ma, reflecting indigenous culture and world view through well-preserved oral traditions have almost vanished.

Indian newspapers publish only the western comic strips thus widening the perceptional gap with the east, which was always much closer to our cultural moors and worldview. The good, nice and admired faces and idioms and parameters of progress and scholarship are all transferred to New York, London and Sydney. Sunday papers’ marriage columns still show a great preference for “convent-educated girl fluent in English”.

If someone lists out the public issues of concern and the responses to them of the Anglicized elite and the rest, it will appear that the divide is too clear. It would be pronouncedly predictable. Like on Kashmiri Hindus, Ayodhya, religious conversions and jihad. The English speaking majority and the rest would represent two different worlds.

How is it changing India? Can it affect the age-old soul and fragrance so distinct and special that couldn’t be subdued during the onslaughts of last several centuries of foreign assaults?

The answer is no.

Like an old grand mansion, the old layers of Indian society may be showing some cracks in some precipices with aging de-plastered walls and faded colours as we see in Jaisalmer fort, but Indians have also shown an amazing talent to use the alien impositions to bolster the nationalist causes too.

If it was the social reform and a renaissance led by English-speaking Indian giants, it’s the new world of technology and science that’s being mastered by Indians on English wings. On the contrary some other religious groups missed the bus due to a fundamentalist rigidity and a late awakening.

The day when Indians will run India on the strength of Indian languages is still too far and not exactly on the agenda of even the Hindu nationalist political groups who have willy-nilly yielded to the prevalent importance of English.

But the real India is yet too far to be overwhelmed by this factor. English newspapers haven’t exceeded a daily combined circulation of 10 million while Indian language media sells 33 million copies a day. The Indian bazaar is still dominated by Indian languages and no party leader; however elitist he might be, can afford to seek votes in English. So the language of seeking peoples’ mandate remains Indian while the language of power centres has invariably become
English.

Though in some quarters, Sanskrit is seeing an amazing revival and currency, even in areas where Hindi is opposed for political reasons. The astounding success of Sanskrit Bharati, without having any state patronage, which is a case study for researchers, it still is miles away from having a principal space of trade and governance, a prerequisite for a language’s ascendancy to
power.

With this divide a new youthful India, 60% under 40 years of age, is gearing up to vote for her future.
